  1. LT offense seems to run alot of misdirection plays. It's working for them. Gilbert is a very strong QB. Oh, he has good receivers too!
  2. Penalties are gettin em! Lake Travis is good, though!
  3. Well, Lake Travis is a really good 4A team that returns alot of starters from a state championship team from last year. This year, the 5A Westlake Chaparrals are a mediocre team and not so spectacular. But Westlake is hangin in there, only down 14-10!
  4. Man, ya'll are hard on that guy! I dont agree with what he did, but cut the guy a little slack. He's doing the best he can with the talent he has to work with. Let's face it, most of the talent in Orange county goes to WO-S.
  5. I agree! Keep the local talent where it belongs......RIGHT HERE!
  6. Now WB is good and this will be a good measuring stick to show how Dem Jags are doing this season! Well, it'll be a ruler instead of a yardstick!
  7. Looks good! Thanks, Mike!
  8. Bridge City should take it!
  9. West Brook's defense is more disciplined than Memorial's. Your Veer option attack will not work as much as it did on the Titans. Once Central falls behind in the score, the Jags will be forced to pass which is not their strong suit. Just like Passing wasn't FB Clements strong suit, huh? ;D ;D I say, Bombs away. Anything goes! Ooooooh, that was a low blow!
  10. West Brook's defense is more disciplined than Memorial's. Your Veer option attack will not work as much as it did on the Titans. 11. This looks like a typical WB/Central score. Very close!
  12. Well, as much as I would love to see that happen(beating NS, Katy, and Westfield), my gut feeling is that it wont. We are a very good team this year, but history has taught me that West Brook has only beaten the teams that they were suppose to beat. The odds are not in our favor. I would love to be proven wrong, but I think we will go 7-3 or even 8-2 in the regular season. Again, I would love to be wrong........we'll see how we look after the Central game.
  13. You guys have made some very good points. shorttexas1, I like what you had to say. I am admittadley a little worried about Central's defense. If they are on their game, they could cause some problems for West Brook's offense. This game always brings out the best in both teams, and I expect nothing different this year. Good luck to both teams. Now, let's play some football!!!!
  14. I'm glad to see that the game is back on. Now almost everybody's happy with the decision. Good luck to both teams.
  15. Maybe I was being a little overzealous? 35-14!
  16. Yup. Maybe now that LCM vs. WOS is the only game not being played he'll change his mind. yeah, it sure doesn't make him look very good! :-[
  17. It's not up to me....unfortunately! ;D I can be the biggest cheerleader in the world, and if our boys dont show up to play then it doesn't matter. However, judging by what I saw in Week 0, I think the folks who make up the polls are eventually gonna have to stand up and take notice.
  18. The AP Poll has not been very kind to Southeast Texas in the larger classifications in the past few years, probably due to the lack of State titles.... I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else, so if you don't know, that 50-7 win over Ozen ranks as Ozen's biggest margin of defeat in their 10+ year history, surpassing Dayton's 48-6 win over them in 2006. ;D
  19. I'm not sure I have an opinion on this one. I'm just gonna sit and see if scooter gets to post the rest of the season! Ozen definitely has some athletes, as does PAM. If I had to make a guess at this one, I say that the Titans are closer to winning a game than Ozen. However, if the Panthers come out as fired up as they did against West Brook, they may be able to suprise the Titans and make it an interesting game. PA Memorial 24 Ozen 20
  20. Actually the 1991 season WB was ranked in the top 5 and I think in 1992 also. I was on the 91 team and I think we were #4. End of season ranking for the 1991 season was #4......The Bruins finished the 1992 season ranked #5. Both seasons ended in the first round of the playoffs at 10-1.
