  1. Surely with that many players in the program, the numbers on varsity should increase? We need to develop some depth and suit up somewhere between 55-60, IMO. Heck, some of the teams we will be seeing next season will have 85-90 players on the sidelines. Just something else to ponder. ;D
  2. I agree with you 100%, man. But this guy has got this unbridled infatuation with NS for some reason, and it really gets under my skin. I know I shouldn't let it, but I cant help it. Realistically, I know NS will probably win that game, although I'm hoping for the opposite. But if he cant get behind some of our local teams, then he needs to go post on another board. Here ya go, go check out this forum www.5atexasfootball.com , they have several threads dedicated to the North Shore Mustangs and they love to bash our local teams, so you should love it and will fit right in. None of them have any respect for our local schools, and neither do you. Actually SFA85, I would very much love to see your beachfront property in Arizona. How much are you asking for it? Good deal, I hope. : Nope, my snowball's not gonna melt, either!
  3. Ah yes, we're all just gonna bow down to the almighty North Shore. Get real, would ya. You act like the Mustangs hung the moon. Yes, they will probably be good. No, they WILL NOT complete the season undefeated. In fact, how about you start a thread just so people like you can pay hammage to NS. You're obviously in love with them. I thought you were a PA man, not a NS homer.
  4. ......he can apply all he wants to. The problem is, I dont think the PN-G faithful would take him as their HC.
  5. ....no, not really. Considering the current makeup of the 215, all the Titans have to do is win two district games and they're in the playoffs. Sterling and possibly C-view should be a check in the win column PAM, and get them in.
  6. Okay. Well, everyone is entitled to his/her opinion. Good luck with that Dayton and WO-S thing. Once again, West Brook is spelled as two words, not one. ;D
  7. Let's hope so. Not to be negative, but last year, he ran like he had two cinder blocks attached to his feet. He got better as the season went on, but he didn't impress me as a running QB the way Chaisson, or James Brown, or Chip Ambres did. From what I'm hearing, he has definitely become more agile on his feet, and has probably gotten alot faster as well. His quickness will be another weapon in our arsenal. And I'm really excited to see that he is taking advantage of every opportunity to better himself and his team. It really seems as though he is trying to be a leader in the weight room, and that will transfer to the field. If this years team is able to live up to all of the expectations that the school and the community have placed upon them, them we should have a great year.
  8. On paper, yes. But, there hasn't been a down of football played yet. Let's see how we look after a couple of games. Better yet, let's see how we look against Katy. By then, the Tigers will have already played NS, and will give us a good guage as to where we actually are. That being said, if we are healthy come Week 10, we should give NS a run for their money. We may not win, but I think we'll be competitive nonetheless.
  9. 1 KIRBYVILLE 2 WOS 3 NEWTON 4 DAYTON 5 JASPER 6 WESTBROOK 7 PNG 8 PAM 9 CENTRAL 10 GO OUT IN A LIMB AND SAT ORANGEFIELD WOW. That's uhhhhh, an interesting Top 10 you got there, man. Somehow I dont see K-ville beating some of the teams you have ranked below them. Dayton is gonna be really good. What about Nederland? I dont see them on your poll. Certainly you dont believe that the Wildcats could beat a team as seasoned as Nederland. Maybe you do. I realize that you're a homer for your team, and so am I......but let's be realistic. It's highly unlikely that K-ville could beat a team like Dayton, or PN-G, or especially West Brook. No offense, I'm just stating the obvious. I think alot of the senior posters on this board would have to aggree with me on this.
  10. It's hard to believe, but just 20 years ago WO-S was in a 5A district. Now they're at the lower end of 3A.
  11. I think we get to take a stab at Lufkin in our first scrimmage. Saturday prior to Week 0. I'm anxoius to see how we do.
  12. Week 0 is still a long ways off. If I had to guess at this point, and it's just a guess, I'd have to go with Central. But who knows? ???
  13. It would be nice, but I think a little bit of wishful thinking. ;D We would need alot of luck to get to that point.
  14. Congrats to the #18 team, but I'm ready to see somebody else win one of these races. That's his fifth of the season. Oh well, at least the #17 got a Top 10 and moved into twelfth in the points.
  15. Laugh now but if Beaumont ever would combine our three schools, it wouldn't be so funny to MC. It would probably make MC happy to remove us from yalls schedule. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Now, why in the world would BISD want to do that? Put all the bad eggs in one basket? It hasn't worked so well for PAISD!
  16. I'm not saying that he's not going to be one of the best, but I saw him a couple of weeks ago (Cardenas).......he's just a little fellow. I was really suprised at how small his stature was.
  17. I just saw the video of it. It appears as though, his car dropped a cylinder at about the 1/8th mile which caused the motor to explode. This explosion blew the body off of the car as it burst into flames. The car continued through the traps, on fire with the parachutes deployed, and hit a concrete retaining wall head on. That run actually put him in the field as the #13 qualifier. Scott Kalitta was 46. He leaves behind a wife and two sons. [Hidden Content]
  18. Top Fuel driver Scott Kalitta was killed today while making a qualifying pass in Englishtown N.J. I understand that his car drove off the end of the track into the sand pit and exploded. I dont know any more details, but I will post them as they become available. The Kalitta family has been instrumental in the growth of the NHRA, and Scott will be missed. [Hidden Content]
  19. I think BISD will start building the stadium very soon. I would bet dirt will be flying before Summer is over. I dont think anything is gonna happen, for a while. BISD has a tendency to drag their feet with big projects. I expect nothing less from our great adminmistration. ;D
  20. Most likely games won't be played there till 2012 or 2013, if not later. BISD knows how to drag their feet. Depending on when they actually start on it, it should take about two years to complete. If they start it now, it should be football ready for the 2011 season. Should be really nice stadium if it's done right!
  21. Katy @ West Brook West Brook @ North Shore
  22. Well, at least most of us agree with who should be on top of that poll! ;D
  23. That stadium is just gonna be awesome.
  24. Maaan, 82. We get no respect being way at the bottom like that! lol. Just remember this post after week 1. ;D Oh, contrair moonfrair ;D. I think this ranking will probably come true.....especially after week's 0 and 1. LOL! (at least I stuck you guys in front of L-town)
