Well, I guess some people who read these posts take a little too much to heart. I was deleted from two of our players FB pages. LMAO! I guess they felt a little convicted about something I said in my status post after last Friday night's game. Such is life. I didn't say anything that wasn't true. ;D -

The boy is athletic and just give him his due... Stump is his dad we get it, but if you actually know the coach then you know he is going to put the boys and his team in the best possible position to win no matter what.. sorry to your son/nephew/cousin but it is what it is... Brook by 10
bull, then why is No. 8 kicking? No. 1 and No. 14 are better kicking options. Also he has WRs that have been in his program for 4 years and are better athletes than No. 8, why doesnt he play them. The only reason No. 8 gets any playing time at all is cause his last name is Stump! This kid wouldnt get on the field at any other school in this area period.
;D Thank You! -

Brook by 10
That is exactly the point. He is not doing that. It's clear to me that coach is simply putting his son in the best position to earn a scholarship. If that wasn't the case, he wouldn't be the PK, either. IMO, Diego is a much better kicker. Im not hating on anybody, Im just pointing out the fact that their appears to be a case of nepitism going on here. If you cant see that, then maybe you need to change seats in order to get a better view. Im a longtime fan of WB, AND Stump, but anybody that knows me will tell you...I call them like I see them. I want WB to be a better team....you can be with me, or you can be against me. But dont call me out just because I voice my opinion about a certain situation.
ha calling you out cause I've only looked at the sterling and north shore thread and noticed a trend of garbage youre spinning off aka this nepitism bit... josh plays the Y position at wideout, it is probably the only position in stumps offense where you put a for sure possession receiver and a good blocker and stump doesnt call plays based on personnel that is rotating in and out, except maybe only with guys that are on the field 90% of the time on offense like his outside receivers which you saw last night with the outside screens... i can assure you any play calling that occurs with what slot receivers are in is just pure coincidence as they rotate constantly on his offense...
::) Hey mj....maybe you should change your username to cal-stump, instead of calveezy. -

This game is kinda hard to call. WB can, and should, win. As long as coaching and bone-head playcalling dont get in the way, WB should win. But if I see any of those offfensive formations where #8 is in there along with #5....we might be in trouble. Only one time have I seen that set where it wasn't a run play. I have to ask this question......why do we have #8 in as a slot reciever...WITH A BROKEN THUMB! It's gonna be a run play because the thumb affects his ability to catch.....although I was supried last night when they ran a screen pass out of that formation, and #8 made the catch. THat was the only time that play wasn't a run play. NS will be expecting a run play if the two QB's are on the field at the same time. This is something I've noticed....and if I see it, dont you think the coaches at NS will see this? Just sayin. To answer your question....West Brook CAN win this game. If we go in there and play our A game....and dont turn the ball over.....West Brook should win. 25-21 Brook. -

How could he possibly of seen that? If it were a face mask call which he indicated----then the dudes helment was on backwards. ::) BTW--it was a jersey tackle.
Good call, Weed. I thought I was the only one that saw that. Overall, the refs weren't bad tonight.
no if PAM wouldnt have had that bonehead personal foul they would have won. stupid penalties cost MHS. If WB wants to beat NS all yall gotta do is stay composed and yall will win.
Well, we just need to stick to our game plan and execute. If we do that, we should be able to play with them.

Oh what a difference in the game Reyes makes. Once again, the offense sputtered when Coach Stump pulled him out early in the 4th. Lil Stump, Im sorry to say, is not the answer for WB at the QB position for next year. This looks like a textbook definition of nepitism to me. Reyes and the starters looked decent tonight. Got the points when we needed to, and I dont think anybody got hurt. Overall, I give tonights performance a "B". Looking better, but still alot to improve on. On to North Shore next week.

I was gonna get on here and serve up some crow....but ya'll played a heck of a second half and almost got the win, so I'll give you a pass on the crow eating tonight. KUDOS to PAM for battling back and making it close. I know the NS folk were holding their breath right there at the end. Good game to ya'll.
I'm not replying to any statement : JMO The one's who gripe and complain the most about Refs are the Losers in the game,They will try every means available to justify the loss and try to convince people it was the refs fault, They use every reason in the book except the real one..WE LOST.. ;)
I disagree. One can have no calls go their way, and still win the game. For the most part, the best team on that night, usually wins. Now there are circumstances in which a poor call, or series of calls, will cost a team a win. All I was saying is that in the WB/Tyler Lee game a few weeks ago, the officiating ALMOST cost us the game with some very obvious bad calls at the end that gave Lee two scores late in the fourth. The final was 25-20....and it should have been 25-7.

Morton Ranch, who has the 2nd largest enrollment in 19-5A, is 1-1 in district play. They lost to Memorial, but they beat Taylor. They will lose to Katy and Cinco Ranch, but Seven Lakes, Strake Jesuit, and Mayde Creek are all 1-4 on the season. If Morton Ranch beats 2 of those 3....they're in, along with Cinco Ranch in D1, and Katy will go D2 with Memorial. I've been watching this very closely....and hoping they dont go D1 with us. Be careful what you wish for, you just might get all of Katy you want.
we can handle them
OK! :D
