  1. Thats funny....unlike last season when our offense averaged 36 PPG, this season our defense is whats keeping us in games....just ask Central. I dont believe that Wing-T offense would be much of a problem keeping contained, because our defense is THAT GOOD! But how Vidor would do against West Brook is something that we'll never see. Something else to ponder......Vidor is winless lifetime against West Brook. I dont expect that would change.
  2. I saw him on the sidelines in the third quarter after he came out. He was obviously in pain. THe WB trainer had a huge ice pack on his left knee. I'm not sure what the prognosis is, but I hope he's not too seriously hurt.
  3. Bruins Offense- C We have trouble moving the ball on the ground in short yard situations, but the passing game is decent. I guess we miss C Mike a little more than I expected. Defense- A-, B+ This has definitely been our strong point this year. There are some areas to improve on, like making defensive adjustments at the line, but overall pretty good. Nice, hard hitting defensive players. Special Teams- B- Kicker is decent on kickoffs, but needs to work on FG's. I like our coverage on kickoffs......we didn't let Central have a return for a TD last night. Overall B
  4. Absolutely....that was a phenominal catch, but it was out of bounds. We too, had some problems on special teams with the two missed FG attempts. But again, the Jaguar defense managed to hold us to just 32 yards rushing.....great defensive effort Jags. Man I got to tell ya, if we had last years offense with this years defense, we'd be pretty dang good.
  5. .....and #1 ranked Katy lost to The Woodlands!!!!!! What a happy day, what a happy day!!!!
  6. Maybe, but they didn't win that game against Permian....they tied 21-21. At least West Brook won their title outright, in a 21-10 win over the unbeaten Hurst LD Bell Raiders.
  7. Not suprising.....upsets all over Texas tonight! Happy to see Lufkin brought back to earth!
  8. Come on Kerry, give us a little bit of credit......we're young, but we'll be OK come district play!
  9. Impressive win tonight, Pirates! Good luck on a LONG season ahead.......playoffs, I mean! ;D
  10. you are correct. .....and Katy will go on to win state again this year!
  11. Heard the RB had 200+ yards on Katy Katy wont have that to worry about with us!!! LOL! We barely had 200+ yards against Central!

  13. Light the FIREWORKS!!!!!! I am an instant Highlander fan! ;D
  14. they been in that phase since 2003 i believe Well, it's a LONG process! LOL
  15. ...you're not paid to think, scooter! LOL....they are in a transition phase
  16. I dont believe I have ever seen such a greatly contested defensive struggle between two teams. My hats off to Central, as they put pressure on our QB Reyes ALL NIGHT! This disrupted the flow of the offense, and we never really got into a rhythm while trying to run the ball. This forced us to rely on our passing game, which was fairly productive. # 25 RB for Central is a Man among boys! We really had no answer for him, but did well to keep him contained. Yes, penalties hurt both teams tonight. Central's seemed to be alot more costly, though. All in all, I give the game an "A".....this is the best BB I've seen in quite some time. I'm with WeedBegone, in that, I'm officially on the "Jaguar Train" for the rest of the season. I told Soulja this on the phone after the game, "with the exception of NS and Katy, I'll bet Central has the best defense we'll see all year." The Jags are gonna give opposing offenses fits in 20-4A.
  17. maybe PAM is just that good finally after a meltdown in BMT. ;D No, I've seen Ozen play......they're just that bad!
  18. Sounds like its gonna be another long season for Ozen.
  19. I said it once and I'll keep saying it......ozensfinest, you are a fool if you actually believe that. Thats the last time I'm gonna say anything else about the playoffs to you.
  20. I'm sorry, but without Panthers assistance, FP would not have had any ring > Let's be real about this now. All the real stars on that Bruin team was true Panthers. ;D Allright.....lets not get Hebert confused with Ozen. Hebert was the real deal.....Ozen, I'm afraid is bleak in comparison. Not necessarily true. WB had three players make the All-State team in 1982. Gerald Landry (QB) and Jerry Ball (FB and DL) were both from Hebert. Johnny Norwood (CB) was from Forest Park.
