Westbrook Vs Ozen.... Prediction
82 5A State Champs replied to SgtRey's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
OK, lemme rephrase that. When was the last time Ozen had a decent QB?....never mind! You are absolutely right, we lost our original QB (Paul Falgout) due to injury in spring ball. The kid that will be calling the signals is a young, inexperienced, unathletic, immature Junior named Bruce Reyes. He is no threat so you dont have to worry about remembering his name. Feel better ozenfinest@1906? I can go on if you wish....... -
Westbrook Vs Ozen.... Prediction

Ozen STILL doesn't have a QB!!!!! West Brook should win......maybe not as easily as last years 50-7 rout, but the Brook should come out of Zaharius 1-0! -
Vidor vs. Kelly Week 0 Predictions?

That would throw a wrench in the plans. No, it would make Dave Campbell look like a dunce! LOL! -
;D ;D ;D ;D

I agree with you......7-3 sounds about right to me. Again, I think the only bumps in the road will be Westfield, Katy, and NS. I keep hearing everyone preaching about Brook's inexperience........the system has been in place for 5 years now, and the kids know the system. You can throw the inexperience factor out the window after the first TD of the season is scored. Care to take a friendly wager on the Sept 4 game, Soulja? Lets do it! If Central wins, I'll wear a Brook shirt at one of yall games.... If Central wins, I have a Jag shirt ( I think you will look good in maroon and gray) to one of our games. 8) 8) I'm down!!!!! Just in case I end up having to wear a CHS shirt (gulp!), can I put in a request for a black one? Maroon is not a very flattering color....especially on me! It will clash with my blue and red! LOL!!!

No, Christian Louis graduated last year. A new kid by the name of Bruce Reyes, who will be a junior, will be calling the signals for the Bruins this year. Expect to see great things from this talented young man this season!!

I wouldn't bet the farm on these district predictions. They are a joke. They picked WB third, and they didn't even spell the schools name correctly. West Brook is spelled as two words, not one. We'll see whose standing at the top of the 21-5A "heap" when it's all said and done. North Shore will be at the top, but I'd be really suprised if PAM finished ahead of the Bruins. I'm not saying it cant accidentally happen, but I'd wouldn't bet on it!

So, they must be cutting back on the original seating capacity then. No, it has always been about 11,000. Durley and Babe both have 10,000 seating capacity. I think that when it is finished, we shouldn't have a problem filling the seats. BTW, dont think the UIL doesn't know about our new stadium either. I've heard rumors of BISD hosting playoff games in the future as well. -

Ford Park has never hosted HS football.....just basketball, and indoor football, rodeos, ect. Heck, the Golden Triangle as a whole has never really supported any type of pro/semi-pro sport of anykind. We had the Golden Gators years ago, and they left because they couldn't draw a crowd. But people come out in droves to watch HS football. Filling that stadium to capacity on a weekly basis shouldn't be a problem. -
....thats what I keep hearing. No superstars. Just a team that plays as a team, with sound fundamentals and few mistakes. We shall see.

OMG (laughing hysterically)! You are such a fool! In a 6-team district with four teams going to the postseason, It doesn't take a genius to figure out that all a team has to do is win 2....count em 2, district games and they're in! Surely you aren't suggesting that the Brook will have a problem winning 2 district games.......Nah, not in a weak-a$$ 21-5A. West Brook will go into the playoffs as the Runner-Up team, once again behind NS, more than likely with a 4-1 district record. Yes, we play some tough teams in our preseason once again. Yes, we will probably lose to Katy, Westfield, and NS. Aside from those three, ALL of the other games are definitely winnable.....superstars or not! yall wont beat eisenhower my prediction is that yall start the season 1-4 with only wins to ozen and then lose three district games NS for sure thats how bad WB is going to be you guys must forgot that the 09 class carried WB for three straight yrs even with chaisson coleman chavis and all those guys CM pretty made the WB program what it was the last few years Well, my friend....you are certainly entitled to your opinion. However, you might want to stop whatever it is you're smoking, because there is no way WB will lose three district games. Have you seen how sorry 21-5A is? NS is the only real powerhouse. Aside from them, there is no real competition that would keep WB from finishing district 4-1. Channelview got lucky a few years ago, but we hung 61 points on them last year. You can pretty much count out both the Baytown schools, because there is another HS over there now and most of their talent has been split up. As for PAM....well, it's PAM and the Brook should roll over X-Box Kenny's new team. You might be right about our preseason (only winning against your Panthers), but I seriously doubt it. In fact, I think we could even sneak out a win against Ike. Sit back and watch the show, junior....you might learn something! As I said at the end of last season, I think we will finish either 6-4 overall, maybe 7-3. The 2010 version of WB will be very hard to beat, but thats a year away.

What in the world did you just say? ???

When I found out that our QB Falgout was done for the season I was a little worried about what our offense would be able to do in his absense. With Reyes calling the signals, I am somewhat suprised and happy with how they've done in 7 on 7. It makes me feel better about our chances this upcoming season.
-
Have fun with Northshore. And Katy and Westfield! Lets not forget Aldine Eisenhower.....and Central........hmmmmmmm, thats probably all we have to worry about! Realistically, I see WB finishing 6-4 in the regular season.....maybe 7-3, with a 4-1 district mark. This will most likely be a down year for the Bruins, but we're hopefull and optimistic about the 2010 season. THEN, you better watch out. It should be a long season for the Bruins.
-
I'm looking forward to the playoffs this year. The regular season games could be interesting, especially the first 2 or 3 games. The Brook may suprise a few folks this season. I keep hearing some say, "no superstars to bail them out" (Soulja), but I think we'll be OK with what we've got. If we get to play all our scheduled games this season, we should be more than ready for what we'll see in the postseason. Good luck to all our opponents........especially your Jags, Soulja! I sincerely hope they have a great year! (sarcasm) LOL!
-
.....my lips are sealed, I'm not saying anything!
-
Did you just really ask that? Come on COOP, thats a no-brainer......it'll be NS wth ease. Like Soulja said, the race for the runner-up spot should be more interesting.
