  1. Central will be a good matchup, but the game I'm really looking forward to seeing is Katy........err, Katy handin it to us at Rhodes Stadium!
  2. YOUNG! We will be somewhat competitive next season, and will most likely make they playoffs with a first round exit. However, the 2010 team is something special. That team, with Stump's oldest son at QB as a jr, will be a team that goes far. Next season will be somewhat of a rebuilding year.
  3. yes he did, and was an All-State selection in 1982 also.
  4. I agree...Not many better than C. Michaels, but J. Charles. Jamaal had 4105 yards rushing and 52 TD's in two years. 2051 yds his Jr. year and then 2054 yrds his Sr. year (in just 9 games). I don't have his receiving stats or his Sophomore season stats. In his first game back from shoulder surgery, posted 371 yards on 49 carries against Midland Lee in 2004 ... Had 400 yards on 31 carries and six TDs versus Spring Westfield. Great numbers against great competition. Point made, badndn. However, Michaels achieved those numbers while sharing the backfield with other good backs like Albert Williams, Jordan Garrett, Jeremy Cooper, ect. If he had been the only back playing, I'm quite sure his numbers would have been as good as, or better than Charles'. As it was, Jamal was the feature back when he was in HS, and subsequently got all the carries, while Michaels was sharing the RB duties.
  5. I dont have the stats on the other two, but there aren't many better than Christine Michaels. His stats speak for themselves: 3925 yards rushing in three seasons, 7.9 yards a carry and 74 TD's. Michaels also had 550 yards receiving over three seasons with 11.2 yards per catch and 6 TD's. TOTAL....4475 yards of production, and 80 TD's. Michaels is the best.
  6. I like your list, but I would rather see Jerry Ball listed as a Fullback. He got some carries for the 82 team, and he did some damage to opposing defenses.
  7. No he wasn't. Chip was a much better passer than James.
  8. Seriously? Four teams go to the playoffs out of a six team district, and you dont think Brook will make the postseason next year? Wake up and smell the coffee burning, my friend. All the Bruins have to do is win 2 district games and they're in. Granted, 2009 will be a down year for us, but we will surely win more than 2 district games.
  9. Granted, West Brook, on paper, only has one returning starter. However, ALOT of the players on the varsity saw playing time last year, most of them never started. So yes we will be young, but not totally inexperienced. Ask me this question again right before the season starts, and I'll give you my prediction. At this point, IMO, it's anybody's ball game.
  10. Man, ya'll are just really bored waiting for football to start, huh?
  11. Because since Stump has arrived, West Brook has gone after REAL competition such as Katy, Aldine Eisenhower, and Spring Westfield. It would not do the Bruins any good to play Nederland. It's bad enough we have to waste two games playing Ozen and Central.......well, at least Ozen. As if........
  12. AWESOME!!! [Hidden Content]
  13. Durley Stadium sucks! Babe is better!!! ;D ;D [/quote[move]]YOU SUCK!!! ;D[/move]
  14. I posted the first response on the other thread concerning this topic......it will be Jeff Nelson from WB!
  15. I'm also told that Durley Stadium will be transformed into a 10,000 seat Track and Field facility for BISD. It will also rival any other T&F facility in the state!!!
  16. NOPE... Put it in the hood... The west end has everything already! Yeah, but it'll be real close to my house....straight down Major Dr.!! ;D
  17. You're right! It'll be better than the Berry Center. This stadium will rival any other HS stadium in the State of Texas!
  18. It's part of that 300 million dollar bond issue that was passed. Ticket prices wont go up ......THAT much!
  19. Here are a couple videos of my car from the 2009 NMRA season opener in Bradenton, Florida. Out of the 107 cars that were registered and competed in the True Street class, I managed to wheel the car to a 16th place finish. From a starting line view... From an incar mounted camera... [Hidden Content] The car ran a 10.58 @ 129.64 mph on that pass.
  20. If I had to make an educated guess as to who the new coach will be...........Jeff Nelson from West Brook. Write it down!!!
  21. Matt Kenseth has just won his second race of the 2009 season by winning the Auto Club 500 from California Speedway in Fontana, CA! Congratulations Matt and the 17 team!!!
  22. You want Bowser, you can have him! Good riddance to him!
  23. To answer your question....YES!
  24. my boy, Matt Kenseth, in the #17 RoushFenway DeWalt Racing Ford Fusion, has won the Daytona 500!!!!!! He only led one green flag lap of a rain shortened race, but it was the one that counted. Matt's first restrictor plate win. Congratulations to Matt Kenseth, Jack Roush, and Ford Motor Company!!!!!
