82 5A State Champs

I just came from that game! Katy is looking VERY good I left mid-way through the 4th as it looked like it was about to start pouring and I walked from home The bad thing, for everyone else in the state, is the fact that they are playing a BUNCH of underclassmen. They have one heck of a program over there, and WB is gonna get creamed by them next year. This was supposed to be a "down" year for them. Even on a "down" year, they still find themselves in another state championship. KUDOS to them and Coach Joseph, as he has done a fine job this season. They will probably win the title this year, and most likely for the next two years as well.

Congrats on your win, Lake Travis. You guys will win state. Now, where is that trash talkin' FriendswoodFan at. I really didn't expect he would show up here again. Good riddance!

The point of the thread was to solicit predictions, and like dozens of other people, I offered mine. My description of Central having squeaked out two wins was entirely accurate, and my prediction turned out to be right. My characterization of Central's run as being pathetic was, in retrospect, wrong, and for that I do apologize to the Central players. However, my characterization of Central's fans as being pathetic was, perhaps, the single most accuarate thing I have posted on the HS Football forum. You guys have proved it time and time again! Well, that wasn't nice and probably not called for.

For example, how you have done? Do you mean to say that you have not done these things that you say the Central fans and most of the GT in general have done. You are the one that needs to look in the mirror, my friend. As you are the one who is openly gloating about the fact that your team won. A real fan with class would simply congratulate Central on a fine season, and leave it at that. But when you make some of the classless remarks that you have made, i.e., openly gloating about your win, and being disrespectful towards Jaguar fans, you open yourself up to such criticism. If you would openly like to chat about your semifinal game against LT, then we have provided another thread for you to do so. I heard just the opposite. I spoke to some fans after the game who said that the RB lost the ball before his knee was down. Clearly, it was a fumble. But, it is what it is. Good luck next week Mustang fan....I predict Lake Travis to win by........5 TD's!

It's obvious to me, just listening to the game, that the announcers (who were obviously favoring Friendswood) were even suprised at the fumble recovery being called dead at the end of the game. They thought that it was gonna be a Central TD, and then the Jags would be the ones going to the semi's not your Mustangs.
