  1. What's interesting is that they lost to LaPorte 32-35, and Lee beat Laporte, and we beat Lee 20-13. So, on paper, WB should win this one.
  2. At the most, it would only be Class C Assault. NO Serious Bodily Injury.
  3. Oh yeah, I'm not making any excuses in thinking it would have made a difference in the game, but the refs were definitely biased in this game. We couldn't get a call on NS in the first half at all. In fact, one of NS's LB's horsecollar tackled Jordan Garrett and nothing was called. It would have been nice to get some of those calls. NS is a very physical team, and they will go far in the playoffs. Good luck to the Mustangs.
  4. Well, I honestly didn't think I'd be saying it but Congrats Titans.....good luck with LaPorte!
  5. Do we have a date and time, yet? I'd like to see this game.
  6. Well, I dont think there's anything I can say that hasn't already been said. I predicted this sort of outcome, and I was right. Hey folks, NS is THAT GOOD. And it wasn't that we played necessarily bad, either. We proved that we could move the ball in the first half, but the wheels came off the bus in the second half. I dont care who we're playing, we wouldn't have a chance to beat PN-G or LC-M with 7 turnovers. THAT, was the difference in the game. Every time we turned the ball over, it put them in great field position and they were able to score. You do the math, if we dont fumble then they dont score, and the score would have been alot closer. Our defense was on the field way too long in the second half. We played a pretty good game, IMO, given the competition. I really liked the fact that our boys came out fired up and focused at the beginning of the game. That was good and we're gonna need the same kind of fire and enthusiasm in the playoffs if we're gonna survive. The bad part was that it didn't last too long, once the second half started. NS put out our fire. The good news is, I think Lopez is going to be OK. Also, there are no more NS's in the playoffs. If Katy Seven Lakes beats Katy Taylor today, then it would force Katy into the Div 1 bracket, so we wouldn't have them to worry about. Go Lakes!!! ;D
  7. ive been paying close attention to that district cause it really would be the toughest game to play katy Gotta get through NS first, young grasshopper! Besided, I honestly dont believe there will be anybody in Div 2 that will come close to the level of play we'll see from NS. Not to mention, if Katy goes into Div 2, they will prolly face a tough Humble team in the second round. So we might not get to see them anyway. Our main objective is to survive the NS game without any key injuries. If we do that, win or lose, we should be in good shape for what I hope is a DEEEEEEP playoff run! But it would be nice to not have to worry about Katy!!!
  8. This is Dave Campbells prediction on the game Friday. No. 8 Beaumont West Brook (6-0, 4-0 in 21-5A) at No. 2 North Shore (7-0, 4-0) No team in our Top 25 has elicited more reader feedback than West Brook. The criticism is always the same: How did West Brook remain a highly-ranked team despite not playing during a four-week period? It's hard to penalize a team that had no choice in playing or not playing -- Hurricane Ike left West Brook without recourse. Weather wiped away West Brook's best chance to prove its worth, canceling games against Katy, Westfield and Aldine Eisenhower. But North Shore will make up for what West Brook missed in that three-game stretch. And recent results indicate North Shore is the favorite. Take the Baytown schools (Lee and Sterling) for proof: North Shore beat them by a combined score of 97-10, while it was a less decisive 63-36 margin in West Brook's favor. Padilla Poll says: North Shore by 11 Jerry's TXFB Ratings says: North Shore by 18 TexasFootball.com says: North Shore 31, West Brook 23
  9. I found this interesting. It would be nice to not have to see Katy in the third round, and it may happen. Mayde Creek and Seven Lakes are both favored in their 17-5A matchups this week. If both win, Katy will move up to the DI bracket, which could possibly put Katy in position to play Aldine Eisenhower in the second round -- if Katy beats Cinco Ranch. Thus leaving West Brook as the clear favorite in Div 2.
  10. www.buckinfootball.com is showing NS as a 21 point favorite in our game on Friday. I hope it's closer that that.....ALOT closer!
  11. www.buckinfootball.com is showing Lee by 2 points over PAM. This website was 86% correct in their predictions for Week 9.
  12. This is the reason they rotate in two fresh players on defense every two plays. Hence, their defense is top-notch!
  13. Great article. That's quite possibly an indication of things to come. ;D
  14. Recently, we've had good luck playing at Galena Park ISD stadium so I like that one. Stallworth Stadium in Baytown is also a nice facility.
  15. Just so everyone knows, this game is suppose to be the Game of the Week for the Greater Houston area. It is considered a marquee game in several polls. It will be live on ESPN Radio 97.5 TheTicket, and a live internet feed on TSRN.com. Maybe those of you that cant make it to the game can tune in on either one of those sources and support the Bruins. We need all we can get!
  16. [Hidden Content] Just something to ponder!
  17. That's cute! I dont think there would be a Bruin supporter that would be upset about that.
  18. Looks good to me! We need some help from Katy Seven Lakes, though. If they make the playoffs, it would force Katy into the Div 1 bracket, thus leaving the Div 2 bracket wide open for us! See you in the first round!!!!
  19. Why do we still show West Brook in the Div 1 bracket? Since Baytown Sterling and NS both made the playoffs, they will be the Div 1 reps for 21-5A because they are both larger in enrollment. West Brook will be the first place rep. in Div 2, and the other spot will be the winner of the PAM/Lee game this Friday.
