Sumlin, will run the ball. He ran the UH spread there because that was the type of talent he had at UH. He sure ran the ball at OU when he had Adrian Peterson!!! 8)

They don't chose their players on stats either. As mentioned Gray has a much better OL and his team has more weapons besides him. They both have the ability to do great things! No one is saying Gray is not great. I am not even saying Williams is better. And anyone trying to say either one is greater right now is just doing so because they are an A&M or UT fan. Just saying both are top high school players with a chance to do great things.

Why does anyone care what a recruiting service ranks anyone? :D  Does any ranking  prove which kid will be better? To argue who is better is like people who argue which is better a BMW or a Mercedes! Both have a chance to be great! ;D There is not a college coach in the country who makes their choice on players by looking at what the recruiting gurus say!

You just watched the game through Burnt Orange glasses and I watched it through maroon ones!! A buddy of mine from North Carolina who could not care less said the same thing as me about Gray having a better OL. Gray plays on a team with a lot more weapons than just him. Dekaney is Williams pretty much the only weapon and Steeles defense is very good and was loaded to stop Williams.

I will give you the first choice and I will take the other one and be happy!!! :D  Oh, Williams and Addison will both end up at A&M. A&M just added 5- star RB Brandon Williams today who transfered from OU.  5- star QB Matt Davis graduated early and has enrolled at A&M. And Johnny Manzeil red-shirted and will be a freshman this coming season. A&M is finally getting some much needed speed added to their team. The difference I saw on TV was, Williams had people in his face just about every handoff he took and ran for 197. Gray never had a defensive player near him sometimes until he was 5 yards past the line of scrimmage. Gray has a much better OL than Williams.

Right move to keep the young man out. Hope he is better soon.

Just because you lose to  Evadale doesn't mean they prepare you for playing in a 2a district. It just means they are better than you. The purpose of my post was meant to say D'Ville needs to play teams that will prepare them for the size and speed they will play against in district, if the plan on competing in district. It was not a knock on Evadale or anyone they play.

So LCM went toe to toe with WOS in a scrimmage, do we get anything for that! ;D :D ;)

Livingston!!!They have been trying to leave since they have been in 20-4a. (And I really don't blame them, that drive for tuesday night and thurs. night games with school the next day must be terrible)

I agree LCM was the better coached team and the better conditioned team. GCM has some speed, but I don't think GCM exposed anything. LCM didn't have to make any adjustments to counter something GCM didn't use. If GCM had done something different we would have seen LCM adjust.

Remember I saw GCM play!! ;) And I have seen WOS. That 3a preseason ranked team would beat GCM!!! ;D

Not smack, Just an opinion. Deweyville would help themselves big time if they would toughen up their pre-district schedule a little. By time district rolls around, you can develop bad habits on technique and angles and such because you are just physically better than your pre-district foes. Then when district starts, you find the game is faster and the other teams players are bigger and quicker and what you have done in pre-district doesn't work. Again, please don't take this wrong, it is just an opinion , not smack talk.

Lcm had a td called back too. I thought what hurt GCM was a lack of conditioning. By half they were pretty much done. I did like the kid cbear talked about. But coaches see a kid all week and I don't assume to know why he didn't play more.

Dayton needs to move back to 20-4a! They are too good to play in a district whose playoff projected teams get run out by 20-4a teams picked to finish at the lower end of the district!! ;D ;)
