Branch has stated that he is staying committed to A&M. Bill Byrne has made really good hires (Sherman, Blair, Turgeon, Childress, Henry) time will tell on this one, but his track record so far is good. I don't know if ya'll have noticed but A&M's overall athletic program is one of the best in the Nation, so I guess I will trust Bryne on this hire.

I think VCU has Shaka for now, big raise etc. The rumors for now among media types is Buzz Williams of Marquette. He is from Texas and maybe wanting to come home.

Turge was always crying about not having 13,000 for a Tues. night game against Northeast southwest central Iowa Tech!! ;D  Maybe he will be happy in Maryland, but at a basketball school he better know, they won't be happy with only going to the 2nd round of the NCAA tourney!!

Dove- Serious question. Do you think Turge is an elite coach?  It will be easier to recruit to Maryland, but it better be because I don't think Turge is a very good recruiter. He never really moved the program up from what Billy G. left and he never got the caliber players Billy G. got. Just my opinion. I would like to hear your opinion on this.By the way A&M was rock bottom bad when Billy G took over. Turge took over a program in very good shape.

Yeah you are right, The prelims were so bad that was what was on my mind!! ;D But playoff football games, some are played in rain or wind that affects teams, and baseball the wind blowing in or out affects teams, so conditions play a part in all high school sports.

I agree about the conditions- Sezar ran in horrible conditions, very cold and windy!! But going by the next best times is the only way to name the next person after the top 2.

I know how good Brenham is! My statement was not against Brenham. If winning a series meant my team got the NY Yankees I would still want to win!! And we would show up with the intent to win! I just don't understand the statement " I feel sorry for the winners".
