Nice records for a small DivII school and why doesnt he do FBall? And what does that got to do with the AD job especially when yall need the most help in FBall?  In Texas FBall is King Kounze.

What with the stand up and closet garbage folks.. Do any of you tell everyone how you vote etc.. get real. This is a forun to give your opinion publicly and sometimes people learn from it on both sides of an issues. you will all be better in time and I am sure your kids will be.

Rog, point taken..  my cousin was here when you posted that and agreed. but when was the last time a HC came to Kountze and brought a staff with him?  You cant hire a HC without him selection asst. coaches.  Past Kountze admins didnt make fball a priortiy and thats why it is poor.  No school with a admin that doesnt want fball to be priortiy will loose. period. thats whats wrong with it..  just my opinion.

Wow how does that song go "Shut up an dance".  Thats what happend when the Raiders turned it around from their Many years of loosing to making state playoff runs. Kountze is no different than any other school and with the right coaching an support they will start having success! 5-15 is NOT success so come Kountze get honest about your situation.  Everyone who I have talked to around down here in the area has really good thiings to say bout your new Sup..  BTW where was the ranting when you made a trainer your AD? my gosh Kountze. Let your admin make there move an support them for that. Your kids can get better than 1 district win last year. Let me gues that wouldnt make you happy either. Are some of you the problem? Guys just want to say a thing or two. Kountze has always had alot of talent which has gone unrealized due to the lack of a football program. They have had some good head fball coaches pass through but those guys have never had much help. They have never had a district wide program to build on.  Other schools  ;D with sucessful fball know that it starts at the jhigh and takes a strong and smart coaching staff of men to get it done.  Kountze whenever I check are usually out of the game by the 3rd quarter.  I think the changes up there are great and at least cant be any worse then what they have had. fyi.

Sorry but I dont see an agenda to improve football in Kountze as some kind of dark agenda. Come on, Just look at their many years of loosing and what effect is has had on yuour kids up there. Its almost like people who run that school in the past have enjoyed waisting alot of great talent and loosing.  And as far as being heartbroken, your ballplayers may as well learn a life lesson in regards to change.  Hello.. its what we deal with everyday in the real world.  Grow up focus on getting better and building a good football program. Im sure your coach was a great guy but no other district would allow the year in year out loosing record. hope to hear good things now, good luck to kountze.

Talked to the Kountze crowd and its out.  No more same ole same old there. The head coach is out along with the rest. I applaud those who are bringing change for their kids. I have watched Kountze for years loaded with talent have loosing seasons. I just checked and Kountze used to be 3a and now they are a large 2a. They should be competing at the distict level in all sports with what they have up there.  Congrats to the new sheriff's in town!

Talked to some family up there and they assured me BIG change is on its way.  For years those kids have needed it for sure as they have been the laughing stock of 2a with their trainer AD and terrible boys athletics, especially FBall. oops with exception of BBall but they grow that no matter what. Way to go Kountze maybe you guys can bust out of that loosing tradition up there and make some big news. Good Luck Lion Kiddos.

Football in Kountze is no different than anywhere else.  To achieve success it takes a number of important factors.  1) a community that wants it. 2) leadership in school administration making it a priority that it successful. 3) QUALIFIED capable coaching with experience in developing a winning and successful program.  4) a strong offseason program designed to get everyone involved ( Football, Baseball, Basketball, Golf, FFA,  etc.) *Remember football doesnt start in August and end in November anymore when it comes to developing a successful program! 5) Get rid of the negativity and make positive changes which will ensure a winning attitude and thus a winning program.  Hence your Recipe at no charge.  Good luck kids..
