Fan, parent, former student, and supporter of BH sports!  No I don't work for the school but my tax dollars do!

I know and played football with one of them (BM), does he have a son in the program now?
No, his kids play basketball.  The board members are influenced by friends and its very cliquish.  Theres a lot of brown nosing going on.

4. I'm going with BH. But if we turn the ball over to many times then GP will walk away with win. GO BH!!!!!!!!!!
5. Great post Raul! You hit the nail on the head!
6. TNT mom, most of the people that think like you all moved to BH in the last 10 years. MOVE BACK WHERE YOU CAME FROM!
7. The community is behind you but the problem is half of your teammates don't care about football. All they care about is not practicing or show up for practice and have bad attitudes! That's why your 1-3 and most people have doubts about you.
8. I was confused on this too but my son says its at Cleveland. I will be there to watch him play!
9. It says "The Hill" not football. If I remember it just under or at top of the "H" along the blue circle.
10. Wow! What a game! Congrats BC, good luck against LaMarque. The BH boys played hard and they have no reason to hold there heads down! Looking forward to next year!
11. Will they allow a meet and greet at the game? Maybe out in the parking lot? :?:
12. Thank You Purple Pride! I agree that the kid's talent was his ticket to getting a scholarship and play ball in college. I know I stress to my boys on how important it is to stay away from drugs and alcohol. Do well in school and get a college education if you want to make it life. The main reason I posted the news article was because it's LaMarque's star QB and he is out for the playoffs.
13. Sure. It's posted on other message boards. I mean come on, he was their star QB. He threw for over 1400 yards and 20 TD's. I just thought I would share the information because I think it will hurt the team for the playoffs.
14. Coogs’ star quarterback arrested By Joshua Buckley The Daily News Published November 15, 2006 - Updated 22 minutes ago LA MARQUE — Two days before the start of high school football playoffs, school officials have suspended Cougars senior starting quarterback Durkelyn Haynes from the football team. Haynes, 17, is charged with possession of a controlled substance (Xanax), which carries a possible jail term of up to a year, as well as a fine of up to $4,000. According to La Marque police reports, a vehicle was stopped in the 1100 block of Cedar at 2:24 a.m. Tuesday for a traffic violation. Officers reported finding a plastic pill bottle with the outside label ripped off. Police allege the bottle contained 34 Xanax pills. Haynes was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance. He was released after posting $2,500 bond at 3:15 p.m. After learning of the arrest, La Marque athletic director and head football coach Bryan Erwin decided to suspend Haynes from the team. “Durkelyn has been indefinitely suspended from the team,†Erwin said. “Based on the preliminary report we had, we decided to make that suspension for disruption of team unity.†Haynes had started all 10 games for the District 23-4A champion Coogs. He threw for 1,438 yards and 20 touchdowns this season, along with rushing for 544 yards and three scores. Erwin said junior Jarius Kerlegan would start for the Coogs in their playoff game against El Campo on Thursday at The Rig in Pearland. Kerlegan saw limited action this season, completing 9-of-19 passes for 163 yards and two touchdowns. He’s also thrown three interceptions. Kerlegan is the younger brother of Larry Kerlegan, who led La Marque to the Class 4A, Division II state championship in 2003. WOW! Thats got to hurt LaMarque.
15. The problem is the zero tolerance rule. They report everything to the police and press charges. When I was in school it was between you, the other person and the coaches. It stayed in the locker room and thats as far as it went.
16. Zoneblock did write that comment earlier. He must have went in and edited it.
17. I'm just going to take a wild guess and say Galena Park. I was impressed at how well they played in the first half against Barbers Hill.
18. Something I always loved about Barbers Hill as an athlete was the support from our community. Every Friday night our side of the stands had more fans than our opponents, even when we had a bad season. Look at how many people (including myself and boys) stood in the rain and waited almost an hour to watch the Eagles go undefeated! I'm proud to be from "The Hill" and I look forward to watching the Eagles play B. Central next Friday night.
19. Yep, The local news paper say we are playing B.Central in Deer Park Friday at 7:30pm.
20. Hey SFA85 I remember beating SFA 7 - 6 in 1987. WAY TO GO EAGLES!!!!!!! KEEP IT UP BOYS!!!!!!
