LP's deep passing game is a game changer for that offense. Linebackers played great for LP.  WB looked way over matched in every facet of the game

It's usually a close game, but why? Is it Channelview's coaching staff scheming or the kids just think it's a rivalry game? Does Port Arthur play down to Channelview's level? Just seems strange to me. I don't think C'view has much this season.

La Porte's freshmen are really good this year. Second half of the varsity game was a mix of 1's and 2's for LP.  I was really impressed with how hard Sterling played after that first half.

Sterling had 18 total yards in the first half and like 330 in the 2nd half.  They never gave up down 35-7 at halftime.

I told y'all DP makes some great adjustments in the prediction thread.  Also that home field advantage...  A little too close for comfort, eh.

Don't let DP hang around with a close score at halftime and PA will be fine.  Those DP coaches are great at adjusting. DP will step it up a notch this week at home.  HAHA at the home field comment.  That is true.

I doubt many folks from Vidor have EZTAG's.  It's $30 to run one of those tolls.

There is a lot of construction both ways. I would say the quickest way would be taking 146 to Kemah and taking a right on Marina Bay Dr (FM2094). There is construction either way that slows things down, but 146 isn't quite as bad on Friday evening. I live 1/2 mile from 146 right before the construction. If you leave Vidor by 5 you should be in your seats before the school song.

La Porte pulled some starters midway through the 2nd quarter in this one.  They pulled the rest in the third. South Houston QB is a good player.

Springs having trouble running the ball. If they don't run it against La Porte the pass rush is going to be coming fast and furious. That being said Springs should have a big chip on their shoulder.  Never know what will happen.

If Manvel wins, that would be impressive. They will have to improve from last week.

Only one game has been played.  Who knows how it will shake out.  Klein Forest beat LP in the preseason last year and missed the playoffs.

That's cool with me. I do this for the kids and helping them be seen by as many people as possible so they can get their college paid for.  I'm not paid and I don't have any affiliation with the high school.

Clear Brook did not outplay La Porte, look at the stats. That being said 3 red zone turnovers for LP will hurt anyone.  This game should have been over early. On the bright side, passing game looked pretty good. Clear Brook D line is really strong.  Clear Brook O needs some work, sloppy but has potential.

Late 90's Brook had some good teams. I think they will move more towards regular speed option type plays to try and get outside.  That being said I'm not sure how much they have other than triple option either.
