D-line going to lock that sucker down.  LP playing 4-3 vs triple option team.
they run the triple option? in region 3? LOL!!!!!!
Yes, it's going to be tough to watch against our penetration from the front. I think they'll scrap the triple option pretty quick tonight.
2. I think Sterling will be better this season. If Lee is starting 3rd string QB, Sterling should win.
3. No, they wont. D-line going to lock that sucker down.  LP playing 4-3 vs triple option team.
4. La Porte is out to prove their offensive problems last season are a thing of the past.  That o-line is going to tear things up tonight.
5.
Well I was onsight and LP flatout punished Dawson on both sides of the ball.  THAT SIMPLE! Dawson doesn't have a QB and ran James White maybe 6 or 7 times... each time he gained very good yardage.  Of course Upchurch made his usual catches when the ball was delivered well. As far LP... they looked very, very good on both sides. Took the foot off the gas after first series, but things could have gotten ugly for Dawson.  Whitley and the other backs ran at will... gaining yard after yard.  Defense pursued the ball and made plays all night... 1's and 2's.
Well, it was a good night for La Porte.  They're ready. You are a Manvel fan, correct? I was impressed with what LP did to Dawson.  I expected it to be a little more even.
6. The loss to PA last year in the playoffs has had the same affect on LP, thinking about that loss, as it did when PA lost to LP in the regular season last year.  PA was out for revenge and LP will be coming for the same thing in week 10 and again in the regional finals next season.
7. This LP team has more D1 recruits than that team.  All of them home grown, no move ins.

I'm all for more rivals for LP.
Preach, was it 4 or 5 str8 years we ended up losing to you guys in the first round? I still say---> If we dont face LP first round PAM goes at least 3 or 4 rounds deep every one of those years. Coaching killed us in those games let alone back then we couldnt stop the run to save our lives in BIG GAMES aka playoffs. we scored alot of points but allowed a heck of alot more.
It's that step up with physicality that changed Memorial against the run.  These kids want to hit and it gets in your opponents head.  How do you think LP goes 3 rounds every year?  This year LP has talent and that mentality, its going to be fun.
9. I love the smack talk on this board, but this thread is ridiculous.  Y'all got trolled.

11. La Porte will be in the wing-t again.  All the lineman and running backs return. However it will be a little different this year. Not balanced, but we'll just have to wait and see  ;)
12.

A 4-0 record going into district would be a major accomplishment.  I think they are going to have a hard time with the Clear schools.
4-0 going into district?  Now THAT'S the funniest thing I've heard all summer, wouldn't you agree, GCMPats?
That's what he said, not me.
13. A 4-0 record going into district would be a major accomplishment.  I think they are going to have a hard time with the Clear schools.
14. If LP is going to get a state championship, this may be the perfect storm of returning players.  Health will be very key.
15. What teams are they beating to get to 5-5?  That will be tough.
16. They are definitely still a ground it out team. Just have some different possibilities this season.
17.
Where is Holmes playing?
He will probably have a package at QB, play a little RB and WR on offense.  Will be the starting free safety on defense.
18. La Porte's QB is Jordan Jackson a Junior next season.  At 6'3" he is the first QB of that size that I can remember at LP.  He has a good arm and could open up the offense. O-line comes back in tact, d-line as well.  Replacing 3 linebackers, but they are looking good as well.  Corners are both coming back.  All 3 RBs are back(4 if you include Hoza Scott, who will be used some at WR).  Questions at WR, but they will be moving some folks around.
19. Taylor is the offensive coordinator/QB coach at La Porte. [Hidden Content]; I have not seen this confirmed yet, but there is a big young QB coming up for LP that has been under Coach Taylor's wing.  He will be a Junior next season.
20. Congratulations to the Titans and their fans! Well deserved victory and butt whipping.  After five in a row I know there was a chip on the shoulder. La Porte will be back next season with 15 players returning from the all-district team.  Hope we remain on your schedule. Here is a link to the whole game by our video guy: [Hidden Content]
21. What is going on over at Lee?  That program has fallen off the map.
22. Thanks for the plug. It is at Hall Saturday at 7pm. They're looking good.  Defense is big, fast and physical!
23. Dropped balls were a problem in the first half, but the second half was a different story.
24. Greetings all.  I'm new here and I'm not trying to be a troll, just giving my honest assessment. From what I saw tonight: West Brook did play their starters the entire game.  One RB did get hurt for the Bruins and did not return after a TD. LP defense gave them fits with coverage.  LP would show blitz and back off at the last minute.  Or they would show nothing and then blitz everyone. West Brook did not score in the second half and never really came close to scoring. There were many dropped passes by WB receivers, but I wouldnt call them dropped TD's. Reyes does not like to be pressured at all.  He gets happy feet real quick. La Porte defense was outstanding. Lots of 3 and outs for West Brook. West Brook offense looked good in the 1st half, but I'm not sure what happened in the second half. West Brook couldnt handle the LP O-line.  LP pounded the ball and must have had a 20 minute time of possession advantage. LP played the entire second half with the backup QB who actually did very well. Good win for La Porte.  Overall I think it was one of the worst officiated games I've ever seen and the bad calls went both ways.  Hope the Bruins make a run in the playoffs!
