  1. Does Suggs not like it at the big 5a program in Aldine? He's willing to go back down to 4a? I don't know about that. In that case, he should have just stayed at Central.
  2. I've said it before. Turf is overrated. If it's there, cool. My Jags will play in the Walmart parking lot, don't matter! ;D ;D
  3. I was thinking the same thing. I thought you have it you have it. You don't, you don't.
  4. So my Jags will be in PA, huh? I like their stadium. Should be a fun night!
  5. It's not necessarily a bad location as stated. It just would make more sense to make a neutral site. Ford Park or Downtown sounds fair enough.
  6. i beg to differ Isadore is getting the same if not more attention then him........ Dude please! Go the the 5A website and look at top backs next year rankings, Micheal's name is at the top of the list. You have guys all over the state that route for other teams saying that Micheal is the top back in the state. Isadore's name isn't even in the top 10 LB rankings, let alone top prospects. Only in your blue and yellow mind. Be happy the kid got offered from Auburn, but lets not start typing ridiculous statements like this! Beard makes Michael look week ! You'll see he will lead Lumberton deep into the playoffs. With all due respect to Beard, Michaels is on a totaly different level. Sorry, there is no argument here.
  7. Hmmm! You had a kid from HJ back in the early 90's (?) and I think his last year LU made it to the NCAA and played Duke (?). Attendance didnot rise because he played at LU. But back to Donahoe. He's a good example of a player who is/was good but not for a major D-1 school, which was probably one of the problems in his case. Everybody is not a major D-1 just because you are a star at your local high school. There is nothing wrong with the LU's, SFA's, etc. to play ball and get a degree. You are talking about Kenyan Spears and he was not the star but that was the year Lamar had the most local talent playing for them... They had Thadeous Holden and Louis Arline both of silsbee playing... The season wasnt like this one... Lamar got hot at to start the season, went cold and finished seventh to in the Southland then won it all... They were led by 6'8" Landon Rowe SF... Both Holden and Spears started and the area was there at every game... They had some of there best years of attendance during that time... The program was virtually new to the Southland... They had just left the SunBelt in '98... You solidify the arguement more that they need local talent there for fan base and the fact is that they compete well too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The only Southland Tourney Championship included three home town kids... And go back to BB Davis and Gulley and you got the last time they were ultra competitive and a sweet sixteen birth.... With LOCAL TALENT Lamar was at their best! Here's a trivia question: Where is Kenyan Spears now? Isn't he still an assistant coach at LU?
  8. I realy hope Isadore has a breakout season. Let's just agree that both these young men are beasts.
  9. It's the Bobcats, Coop. I always make that mistake too! lol.
  10. Come on now, Blue. Even you dont' believe they will be #1.
  11. There were a lot of sophomores on the 07 team that played 10-15 games, so I wouldn't count on us going too far "down hill". Of course losing 2 of the top recruits in the state will hurt, but there will be a very good core group returning for 09. Dayton has a good overall program and will find a way to compete no matter where they go, and they've shown that. As far as overall UIL... you may be right and there are a lot of factors that play into that especially with the "club" sports. No disrespect I though thought I would get on and stir the pot a little ;D BH knows about Dayton the have a very good program over there and alway are competitive in Football. Beleive me when I say I enjoyed Daytons ROMP through the Southeast Texas district the last two years ;D ;D ;D ;D I think Dayton and BH will make a good rival atlthough BH is small in nubmers now they are growing at a crazy rate,so you can plan on BH being more and more competitive each year they are in 4A. So what have your team done vs. SE tx? ;D Last I heard, your an Eagle fan. Ride your own team's coat tail. Hmmmmm let see we took Central to the wire in our only meeting in football. Eliminated Central this year in Boys BasketBall.. Uhhhhhhh Kicked the Girls Central teams butt in the gulf coast classic last year (Basket Ball) uuuummm hmmmmmm Knocked off just about everyteam you got in Baseball and Softball I know there is more ,but I just cant think right now ;D ;D Jump on them coat tails :D Is that's what it's called? Taking us to the wire? If I remember, you didnt' know who we were. Got the big head with the undefeated record then got brought back to reality. And I believe this is a football subject. Whey are you still on the hoops game? The thing you don't realize is, Dayton did have sucess in our district. At the same time, there is a mutual respect between them and our Jags. BH probably would have gotten whipped by our cellar dwellars in football. Remember, I saw that BH team last year.
  12. Yea, that's him. Never saw him run, but from a few reliable sources, he will be a force.
  13. It sounds good. I just wish they get started with the darn thing already. The suspense is killing me!
  14. Christine Michaels - WB Charlie Thomas - Central Young RB for Nederland (sorry, forgot his name) This is just to name a few.

  16. T-shirt Boston fans out of the woodworks, ey? ;D ;D ;)
  17. He don't know nothing. Just going on he say, she say. Bottom line is your looking for an excuse for Beaumont in general for having the superior athletes. Results, not excuses, man. You make yourself look foolish. And it's a darn shame that Vidor beat Central twice in the season and still had to play us for a playoff spot. that means that you lost to a scrub team that year.
  18. no excuse ,3-4 years ago, vidor was outplaying and outcoaching yall. Matter of fact i believe central got 3rd a couple of those years. So yall went magnet. Go figure. cant win fair buck the system We have never lost 2 times in the same season to vidor in the regular season. Vidor did beat us, but we beat them too. That's the same vidor team that beat Ozen 3 times in 1 year. Come on now. Your making no sense at all. Non.
