  1. I really wish people start living outside their box.
  2. Really? Remember, Utah wasn't sorry last year. They made it to the Western conference championship series. I want to see New Orleans or Los Angeles in the first round.
  3. I repeat! Average guards at Ozen Trying to start something, I see.
  4. Take that Soulja!!! Give me one slooth footed, clumbsy post man about 6'10" to stand with your three six foot tens and four good hustling guards ranging from 6' to 6'4" and I will beat you and beat you good! I don't need any guards with killer speed and quickness. I need SMART mediocre guards. Nice crisp passing to break the press. After that, give it to my fundementally sound Bigs. Long day for your little guys, Short.
  5. Flip a coin with either Kobe or CP3. Can't go wrong with either. I'll give a very, very slight edge to Kobe.
  6. Man, that Lumberton fan is setting his hopes up! Win or bust. Most likely, Bust. : :
  7. lol ....Warmup games! I know one of those games will have yall boys running for their lives! lol
  8. Short, I'll take the 'BIGS'. You can have the little guys running around. You teach your guards to shoot the 3, and I'll teach my bigs the right and left jumphook. I bet my team wins. On any level.
  9. I think they'll be ok. If yall remember, those old Lincoln teams from back in the day always brought it. Those athletes are still being produced in Port Arthur. This team will be solid. Coaching will be the difference between this team being good or great.
  10. I'm sorry I wasn't able to jump in this conversations sooner. When my Jags are being talked about, I come out of the fog! lol. I think we played Ozen tough last year in the first matchup of the past district race. Big players played big. The second matchup, we were playing good up until the big Dunk by Willie Jefferson. Both of those games could have been won I believe. I still say that for the last few years, we have had just as much size and athleticism as Ozen. This past season was one of Rice's best coaching games vs. Ozen that I have seen. So next year, I think that Phillip Jefferson and Gulley will be ready to slay Goliath. I think it will come down to more fundamentals. We got to the line a lot vs. Ozen. I believe if we have good free throw shooting games next year vs. Ozen, we will beat them. It's that simple. Since we are on the subject of 'Central Next Season', winning a tourney won't hurt. I believe we haven't won one since before the Rice era.
  11. All smiles from the Bulldog camp, I see. Now if we can get our district to give our deserving coaches more moolah, we'll be on to something!
  12. It's been a while since I've seen a 'small' Brook O-line. They are either regular size or big. I agree with you that their offense will have taken a big blow by losing Powdrill and Williams. Those guys were monsters.
  13. Good, hopefully we will improve on the defensive side of the ball and limit the amount of miscues. I know we've got a couple more 6'4"-6'5" guys coming up. More tall athletic guys? Better not be!!! Or if it is true, we better have a couple of them! lol.
  14. West Brook would not see Cy-Falls or Katy in the playoffs as they will most likely be going Division II, and WB will be going Division I. We would most likely see teams like North Shore, Pearland, and Lufkin. However, all that may be in jeopardy, should Stump leave and go to Lamar! Ohh yea, that's right. Dang! Those three teams will still be tough come playoff time though.
  15. Good move, Coach. The kids really appreciate your commitment to Nederland. They will prove it on the field next year. Hopefully not against my Jags! lol
  16. I agree with everything else except WB and Dayton. Brook's best chance was last year. They had a stout D-line. Before Williams got hurt, IMO they had one of the best running back tandems in the state. Dayton benifited from the backup QB. He could throw and run. Green will be favoring that broken leg and won't be as productive as some think.
  17. [move] :D :D [/move] Please, stop!
  18. [move]LMAO!!![/move]
  19. I guess, but this is the same team that struggled to beat Vidor. I'm sorry, I just don't see it happening. Unless the Lions have a JV players that are out of this world.
  20. Here we go again. It starts....
  21. We wasn't realy expecting Finley to score like he did. That just goes to show you that you have to be ready to play.
  22. He's a tough kid. Many times I have seen him hit the floor and jumps right back up. He'll be back in full force next year. Good luck on that rehab, kid.
