  1. Dunno yet. I can only assume way since it's Memorial away and Brook home. Havn't gotten the official schedule yet.
  2. Real football is on grass! Turf is for wimps! ;D ;D ;D ;D . How does SFA85 say it? 'Sissy' football.
  3. We have Memorial week 0, Brook week 1, and Galveston Ball week 2. After that, the bye, then district.
  4. Celtics played stellar defense all night. T-Mac was bottled like a genie. They played great defense on out pick and roll and they switched great on our screens that we like to do. it also didn't help that he had horrible spacing either. On offense, that Powe dude off the bench was the X factor. He came to play. Of course we had no answer for 'the big ticket' or Pierce. With that being said, T-Mac, I know u been trusting your teammates on this streak. But in a game like this, you have to take over like I know you can. This game would have been a lot closer.
  5. I always though of TT as more of a Basketball player than football. He was a freshman on Varsity and was a Beast. Franks is more taller and lankier then TT.
  6. No 'Jesus Shuttlesworth (sp)'? This greatly increases our chances to keep the streak going!
  7. We have 22. We hope to make it 23.
  8. Does Suggs not like it at the big 5a program in Aldine? He's willing to go back down to 4a? I don't know about that. In that case, he should have just stayed at Central.
  9. I've said it before. Turf is overrated. If it's there, cool. My Jags will play in the Walmart parking lot, don't matter! ;D ;D
  10. I was thinking the same thing. I thought you have it you have it. You don't, you don't.
  11. He was C/O '02 ...played on the 2001-2002 team.
  12. So my Jags will be in PA, huh? I like their stadium. Should be a fun night!
  13. It's not necessarily a bad location as stated. It just would make more sense to make a neutral site. Ford Park or Downtown sounds fair enough.
  14. i beg to differ Isadore is getting the same if not more attention then him........ Dude please! Go the the 5A website and look at top backs next year rankings, Micheal's name is at the top of the list. You have guys all over the state that route for other teams saying that Micheal is the top back in the state. Isadore's name isn't even in the top 10 LB rankings, let alone top prospects. Only in your blue and yellow mind. Be happy the kid got offered from Auburn, but lets not start typing ridiculous statements like this! Beard makes Michael look week ! You'll see he will lead Lumberton deep into the playoffs. With all due respect to Beard, Michaels is on a totaly different level. Sorry, there is no argument here.
  15. Hmmm! You had a kid from HJ back in the early 90's (?) and I think his last year LU made it to the NCAA and played Duke (?). Attendance didnot rise because he played at LU. But back to Donahoe. He's a good example of a player who is/was good but not for a major D-1 school, which was probably one of the problems in his case. Everybody is not a major D-1 just because you are a star at your local high school. There is nothing wrong with the LU's, SFA's, etc. to play ball and get a degree. You are talking about Kenyan Spears and he was not the star but that was the year Lamar had the most local talent playing for them... They had Thadeous Holden and Louis Arline both of silsbee playing... The season wasnt like this one... Lamar got hot at to start the season, went cold and finished seventh to in the Southland then won it all... They were led by 6'8" Landon Rowe SF... Both Holden and Spears started and the area was there at every game... They had some of there best years of attendance during that time... The program was virtually new to the Southland... They had just left the SunBelt in '98... You solidify the arguement more that they need local talent there for fan base and the fact is that they compete well too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The only Southland Tourney Championship included three home town kids... And go back to BB Davis and Gulley and you got the last time they were ultra competitive and a sweet sixteen birth.... With LOCAL TALENT Lamar was at their best! Here's a trivia question: Where is Kenyan Spears now? Isn't he still an assistant coach at LU?
  16. I realy hope Isadore has a breakout season. Let's just agree that both these young men are beasts.
  17. It's the Bobcats, Coop. I always make that mistake too! lol.
  18. Beating a dead horse, dude.
  19. Come on now, Blue. Even you dont' believe they will be #1.
