Although I'm a die hard Jag fan, I was fortunate enough to watch these Bruins 3 times this year, amazed each time I saw them. The players are classy, hard working men, and these seniors will be missed next year. But with a coach like Stump, yall will be in the same position next year, a deep run in the playoffs. They had a good season, but the overall downfall is what we have been saying for some weeks now. The pass defense stunk up the place. Sure there was the C. Lewis fumble. But the reciever on the far side got 2 or 3 clutch passes on what appeared to be good coverage. One play, #8 didn't look back for the ball. The other one, he just caught on him. They put #15 (I believe) on his and he did a better job. This team was converting on 3 and longs in the 4th quarter, and converting on long passes. The play that killed me was another big third down. There was a playaction and the defenders played their possition. QB threw the ball, and a defender had a beat on the ball and went for the INT and missed, which lead to a biiiiig gain. Just bat it down, for goodness sake! Clements exploited Brooks only weakness, bottom line.

You played a hell of a game, Brook. You made all of Beaumont and the triangle proud. Hope to seeyou again next year when yall tangle with my jags.

And I was saying that 22-4a was weak this year. It's good to see that great competitive football is being recognized throught the state. Everyone is looking at you now, Dayton/Lumberton. 8)

We've been striving for respect for a long time in this area. And who would have thought that it would come as the ex-laughing stock Raiders. Now they know we're for real. Dayton has a great program over there with some nice kids with parents and fans supporting them. Let's not stop now. Lets keep it going till we have a 22-4a showdown for the region III championship!
