That would be the definition of 'supremacist'. Add that all common adjective in front of that word and you know what you get. But you say that it racism isn't about the shade of your skin. You've just contradicted yourself here...
I don’t want to hijack this thread and I really don’t have the energy. However, we’ll bookmark this particular discussion for a future date.
IMO, Doc was wrong as they come and many feels his post was pretty racist.
BTW, I do respect your opinion…
I agree. Just seems that many taxpayers just aren’t concerned with local politics. They think in the grand scheme, it’s next to irrelevant. Someone needs to get a clue. But hey, what can you do?
I was only speaking on what has been true for several years. Being a woman or being black puts you behind the 8 ball on several things, especially politics. Seems like this has changed somewhat just recently…
Personally, I was shocked based on how the previous two decades of Beaumont politics ran. But I will say this. Mrs. Mouton has more political experience and does more in the community than Mr. West. I just thought that having two negatives ( being a woman and an African American) would work against her. Good to see her supporters come out.
Because crews will be installing beams by Walden Road. Question. What’s up with the construction standing from there all the way past Ford Park? Overpass work? I was under the impression that traffic ran fine eastbound and westbound. Just looks like a huge mess they’re creating for today…
I saw this and it’s a breath of fresh air for BISD employees. But I feel this was mandatory as a way to get these MANY vacancies filled and keeping the employees they have. PAISD is the second biggest school district in SETX and didn’t have near as many open positions as BISD. Now I say BISD work on getting better benefits for Theo employees and they’ll be in good shape, IMO…
I wouldn’t really call it Pandora’s box, maybe so about 40 years ago…
I would just call it a belief. No evil. That would probably be more spot on.
A problem you say? You do realize you can have a March for dang near anything. A pride March is no exception…
I think so. Gay people have came a long way. Just sheer happiness and confidence leads to these kind of marches. Believe it or not, there’s a LOT more people that think this is newsworthy than you think.
I think it’s just the thing of mutual happiness and excitement. They’ve been frowned upon, shunned, and discriminated against since forever. They’re just showing pride in what they believe in.
