I know what you're saying, but LaPorte did beat DP.. and United just beat LaPorte.. so I dont know if you'd say DP are strong favorites... -

🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️ Something different. Some wierd wrinkle, I guess...

I looked at this game too to bottom and we dont have an advantage in anything. Offense (running and passing), Defense (in game adjustments), coaching, special teams, home field, experience. This is all baring that we have some mysterious game plan and our kids ball out like no one has ever seen and we play an almost perfect game, but I don't see that happening in this game.

And go La Porte!

..that's another thing. They don't count ECHS enrollment with WB or United... that's crazy because the ECHS in Port Arthur DOES... But I don't think it's that big of a deal because the ECHS enrollment isn't high enough now to be a concern...

The flood took its toll greatly. Lots of areas on this side of I-10 took the biggest hits in Beaumont. Right after Harvey and many didn't take heed and get flood insurance. They are done and moved. There are many parenta in BISD that just couldn't understand the situation at United HS and wasn't satisfied with the solution BISD came up with for the damage at the HS, so they left the district all together. About those 700 freshmen. That Number is correct and many more freshman due to come next year. IMO, this is a two year hiatus and they'll be right back in 6a numbers in 2 years. But WB had teetered around 23 and 24 K students for 30 years now. Theyll be fine and be back to 24 ish next realignment...

You right. It is on YouTube.. I guess I wasn't thinking because we were horrible last year, so lots of teams looked light years better than us...
-
I can't say because I didn't see LaPorte last year (video or in person).

This game was interesting to see. The 3 and out to start the game them the quick score by LaPorte was really bothersome. BU QB play was horrible to say the least. Many over and underthrown passes, throwing into double coverage, Ill advised interceptions thrown and taking sacks on key downs. Also missing the read on wide open players. I'm so glad they got that kid going in the second half, because it was getting to the point to where we were going to think about bringing in someone else. Defense seems to be regressing. Yes, they played well enough to win, but we seems to be taking horrible tackling angles and just missing tackles and giving up too many long runs when obviously, we are supposed to hang our hats on defense... I just hope we can stop this regression and get back to making good tackles. LaPorte isn't a bad team. They have a RB that is a load and hard to bring down and they have a huge TE or WR that wins lots of the jump ball situations. Some nice pieces for them, but they aren't very athletic on defense, which is why United was able to score a lot. They run the power run game good, and I know it would be a downhill battle for them when we were up by more than one score late since they were forced to pass. Moving forward, we cannot have 3 and outs, especially in the opening drive of the game. Defense needs to work on better angles on tackle. Also, one of our key players went down in the second half. I hope this kid is ok, especially since he has balled out this year. Go out and play the best ball you can next week Vs. North Shore, but most importantly, come out injury free.

'Can we get them to address this please? Name names of kids that don’t live in our area and play on our football team. Setx hoops fan what good players we have that don’t live in our zone? Or that we’ve recruited.' - The anonymous NS fan
