Also, apparently, based in the cheer group chat, the JV cheerleaders will cheer at the JV game tomorrow... -

I think the status of the dancers solely rests on the status of the band. The dancers can't dance without music from the band. So I'm sure once the band is given the ok to practice, then the dancers will be given the green light as well... -

Well, we know about Football and Volleyball, but know for a fact the band, cheerleaders and dancers aren't practicing today. Looking like it's a strong possibility that the game will be played without the auxiliary... -
I didn't put words in your mouth, that's why I asked a question. Since you've replied, I now see what you meant. I know they are better, but as far as LaPorte's past standards go, currently, they are a shell of their former selves. Dont even know if Texans (I'm not naive you know. 😎 ) can play with NS. Bevil is on the coaching staff @ United.

Yes. Lots if work went in from after Harvey and after the horrible season last year. I just hope the hard work continues and make this one of those years we can be proud of..

Have some extremely tough games against NS and WB. I just hope they compete well amd hopefully 'sneak' one of them Probably better chance with WB than NS. At the same time, we need to handle business and beat everyone else. An 8-2 season would be an EXCEPTIONAL year, IMO..

True.. I have no idea of the kids that have had significant damage to their homes as I don't personally know any kids on the team. But i think all of the kids have been reached and I'm glad that they'll be out next week practicing amd getting ready for a game. I'm also glad that the district is helping as much as they can and hastily getting the school in order to resume classes asap...

The 'theft' part just rubs many the wrong way, especially since most that mention theft mention CBT and he was brought on trial and everything and he was proven not guilty and was NEVER put in jail.
-
The big thing that 85 is saying is true. There was stealing and corruption prior to CBT's time. I was in school at the time and it was swept under the rug. You'd be surprised at the lack of many things back then. We were using 20 year old textbooks and having pep rally's in auditoriums that had water pumped from them after every light rainfall. There were also band Halls in portable buildings that smelled like urine. The list goes on and as a student back then, you'd have to see it to believe it. And I know the district was far from poor. Just something to think about.

Imo NS will put up 50+ no matter if Banks or Evan's play...

So you're saying that North Shore will struggle with LaPorte?

Eagles - 28 Buckeyes - 21
-
Silsbee - 42 Lumberton - 28

Ummm, weeeell... nevermind. 😁

For us older people, Webster dictionary would suffice for help with definition of words...

I di know this. Evadale will put some points up, but their defense will probably be worn down early, especially with the style of Lumberton Offense. Evadale - 24 L-Train - 49

Wasn't expecting this one. Wow!

They are evaluating the damages. Rumor is BU and Fehl-Price Elementary were the only 2 schools in Beaumont that took in water... based on what I know, they are trying to clean it up and make it ready as soon as possible. I think it'll be ready. Remember, during Harvey, Ozen took in water, and was ready to go shortly after. Worse case scenario... and this is me talking... there are options for using other buildings in the district temporarily. Just that you'd split the population of BU up. Hopefully, it doesn't get that bad... -
What about the scheduled Tuesday volleyball game?
