  1. Was told WB Blue - 18 BU - 16
  2. Ozen and Central were 5a schools. WB is 6a and has the same amount of students as United. WB made a state title run but got ran off the field by NS last year. NS returmed like 90% of their team from last year. So yes, you're way off base. A wise person once told me, if you know better, you say better...
  3. If you did the research, its truly not likely for United or even West Brook to win district since North Shore is in the district... Far fetched at this point.
  4. I like how you side stepped my questions...
  5. So if United loses to West Brook due to a 'handicap', based on yout logic, I assume Belaire, Strake Jesuit, Lamar, AND CE King has that same Handicap. How ironic is that? If WB makes another deep run this year will all the teams they face have this same handicap that United seems to have?
  6. Basically, I think they'll get better, especially on the defensive end. And by H-F being the last game, I'm almost sure theyll improve and will go on go beat them. I'm talking about now. Defense is better than in week 1, but everyone can agree that they are not where they need to be. And I'm not wishing anything bad in Silsbee, but by expectations are really high because I want them to get back to that level of last year and finish the job. I'm confident they will.
  7. Cheering vicariously through West Brook. I see and understand now. Thank you for clarifying....😎
  8. At 4-0 and 1-0, (1-3 at this point last year) ,I think I love our 'handicap '. 🤷🏾‍♂️
  9. What's the handicap and why couldn't Nederland or PAM exploit it?
  10. Almost I guess, except I'm leaning more toward a Silsbee loss at this very moment. Unless the defense keeps improving like it currently is...
  11. I saw the switch get turned on in that first WO-S game. They wasnt peaking, but that was the when the buildup to peaking began. But really good points above though..
  12. Dayton - 21 MECCA - 30
  13. Look at what you're saying. Obviously, this Silsbee team at this point is not as good as last year's. Clearly, this year's H-F team is better than last year's. And Silsbee beat that team by 1 point. This year, unless Silsbee gets substantially better, I can see them losing to H-F...
  14. I saw then5 last year and the team impressed me. But That team goes as far as Morris takes them.
  15. Correctly. 1 Big graduated. We do have another big, not as strong in the post as Ashlei was, but can shoot better than her.
  16. That too...
  17. Just wanted to add that. I know we want to avoid non sports related stuff here, but this would answer quite a few questions on the current situations.
  18. True.. but looking at it deeper, they say the same resources are available for each HS. They say. But in reality, it's not. Although the academic ratings of WB are not too good, they are better than United's. Why is this if the same resources are available for both HS's? End of the day, if the parents are physically able to, you should want to get your kids to the campus that generally has the better academic success. Maybe if the HS work harder in closing that gap, then parents won't be trying to beat the system to send their kids to schools across town...
  19. It actually been like that since they opened up United. The issue was the boundary lines of the elementary and middle schools..
  20. Did you see a crack in their armor when they played Nederland? Did you even attend the United/Sterling game? I'm hoping your statement is not based on sour grapes...
  21. ...you follow Nederland, right?
  22. And looking at it from an unbiased standpoint, WB should be favored... if you're a betting man. But I think the rivalry thing will make this interesting...
