Yes, this has been the case the last 3 years it seems...

I know that QB made everything go on O and he gone. I also know their JV was not that good last year.

That's my point.. there us no winning a scrimmage but they were trying to do something pretty close to being called a win...

PN-G - 28 Silsbee - 37

United - 24 St. Pius - 21

I just got home from this scrimmage and I have some observations. #1. Dobie blitz every other down. And I mean blitz like everything and the kitchen sink. That neutralized the Timerberwolf running game. #2. Due to Dobie blitzing so much, screen passes and quick passes in the seams were wide open all day. United went to this a few times for positive yards and IMHO, Could've did this all night. #3 Dobie's weird misdirection offense was hard for the United D to catch on to but as the scrimmage went on, they were better equipped to slow it down. #4. United's Best Linemen didn't play. #5. Things were very vanilla on United's side while Obviously, Dobie was trying to win as they unveiled a reverse flea flicker type play. I think United will be fine for kickoff next week and look forward to them cleaning some things up. PS... Shout out to the Sophemore that made plays all night. Good open field tackles and the 90 yard INT return for paydirt.

Yea, but Yowman is a very good pocket QB and is very accurate and can get everyone involved with his passing all over the field. I think what he don't have in running, he definitly has with passing.. not really fair to compare he and La'Rav.. two different styles of QBing...

From what I hear, PN-G has some key injuries as well. So my prediction won't be based on injuries...

Well, about that. There were a few young but huge O-linemen out there getting beat consecutive times on pass protection by an undersized WB D- lineman. Yea.. someone's gonna have to grow quickly...

That leg injury on big man didn't look good. Couldn't put any pressure on it at all. And not a good sign to get carted off. Prayers sent. Hope the big guy is ok...

Spring Branch Memorial this week. Last week, only their freshmen scrimmaged against Dobie...

I've said all year what teams scare me. Memorial wasn't one of them though... sorry..

Uncut grass has no bearing on practice... and United never had an issue with lawn services. 😉

That would be nice, but The numbers game would catch up to Silsbee in the 4th playing a 6a athletic team...
