Had a nice talk with Nupe a few weeks ago. Trust me, this will be a special year for him. Watch.... -
I remember several years ago, Central played Houston Sharpstown and Houston Sterling and they both had all of their halftime auxiliary..... Domt get more inner city than these two schools...

Wow!

Wait, is this REALLY a thing? Houston Furr DOESN'T have a band? Drill team? Cheerleaders? JROTC? Or is it they cant afford extra buses to get then to away games? (BTW, This is a serious inquiry )

Hey Grad, do your thing! You the man!

They lose a lot on defense though, man and that was the key. They need some pit bulls back there. Pit bulls with some experience. I wonder if this next group was paying attention to the senior defensive player this year? We'll see because you'll need to bring it when you see WO-S in district..

I heard from a reliable source that Anderson will see some time at QB AND Yoeman isn't a lock for the QB job. Heard there is a hotshot underclassmen that will give him a hard push. -

Talking about recently, like within the last 20 years... all new coaches that come through, seems like out of all the applicants that are white, they end up with heavy consideration for West Brook and not then, Ozen or Central. -
Well, if Lumberton move up to 6a, theyll pull numbers from Beaumont. I would look for West Brook's numbers to drop in proportion to Lumberton's growth. I doubt United would take that hit if you know what I mean...

That's it. But I'm definitely not using that as an excuse, just offering up somewhat of explaining the dominance. They just win. Even on some of those barn burners with Central, the one score games and such, WB still found ways to win. Just wish that Ozen or Central could've found more success. United can, but if ET or AL leading the charge, those chances are downright bleak. -

Good point, but I was talking bout Central and Ozen separately. -

I COMPLETELY agree. They really do. Peevey did an EXCELLENT job after Flannigan left. -

Yes. Also factor in Brook is fresh off a state championship appearance and United is fresh off a 2 win season. -

No, not really, but its something that I notice is a priority in the West End and NOT a priority on the east side of the interstate... -

Well, for almost over 2 decades, they've had the highest enrollment in Beaumont. More kids to choose from. Especially when Ozen was created and Central moved down a classification. Also, when coaching changes do happen, seems that after Rhabb left, WB got the better coaches out of the picks. Seems like the hiring criteria was different in the west end and the rest of town. I remember prior to Central getting Foreman, I would always ask why Central or Ozen never interviewed White coaches but West Brook always seem to get a white coach. Finaly, there are pee wee leagues all over the west end that give those kids a jump early. Didn't have that on this side of I-10 until recently. In conclusion, I think the football games with two 6a schools will become more competitive with wins going back and forth in the near future. -

I'm really interested in what NC has coming back this year....
-
I believe we are only losing one starter (J. Oliver). I believe the rest of the starters return.

THIS.

Yes, Dralyn is good, but they have a great compliment to him in Martin, not as fast, but bigger and stronger. Then the 3rd option with Arline who's more like Taylor. Non of those kids are selfish. Whoever gives Silsbee the best chance to win they particular game, that's who you lean on. These kids trying to win state.
