  1. C'mon. Lol. Its apples to oranges. If Nederland plays NS close, but lose, its still a non argument, especially if they were in the same district. But they are not in the same district. In reality, Even if Nederland upset NS, no biggie. Not in the same district.
  2. Yea, McCain was in street clothes and didn't play but was very vocal from the bench. Injury and was sat out like a previous poster stated. H-F scored 50 because the bench played a lot. H-F was a me to score a lot vs them, much to the disappointment of Coach Sig. Adams scored 57 points in limited time. H-F had no one that could come even remotely close to checking him. Dunk count was 2-0, both dunks by Adams. Bench has some kids that can go and I'm glad they're getting all these minutes in district play. I have a feeling this playoff run, were gonna lean on those guys in the later playoff games. Shout out to the H-F fans and players for hospitality. First time at H-F gym for a basketball game.
  3. Dang... So, does this hurt the playoff chances or have the girls clinched already?
  4. Not a district game. District is all that matters, correct?
  5. United, Barbers Hill, and maybe Orangefield... Their in our Coverage area. Galveston Ball or Texas City....
  6. The point of the matter is they won. That's what it's all about...
  7. I love the fact that these girls are getting some love. Keep it going!
  8. Very important... The ultimate higher ranking should go to whoever has the higher dunk count and the most SMRJ's....
  9. Hey, you said it, not me. I'm simply giving my opinion and I'm telling you why I say that. You're not bringing anything to the table but bias talk...
  10. Have you taken time to look at their schedule and seen who they played and how they were beating people? You think Clover from Memorial had his way. The 6'8" kid for NS is as good or even better. They are were/are worthy of that #1 ranking in 6a. And United played a Heck of a game to beat them.
  11. get off the gas. y'all wouldn't beat NS. they are PA Memorial X 3. Smh
  12. Well, truth be told, and this is my opinion of course. Texas, California, Florida, or even New York basketball then everything else. Not shoving it aside, because I like what Silsbee did, but defending state champs, yea, but who did they lose from last year? In HS basketball, it's more accurate with the here and now. Also, beating the #1 team in Texas' biggest classification imo would hold more weight..
  13. They missed a ton the rest of the game, exception 4th period... I though the percentage was lower. Yea, I saw them knock some down in the last few minutes..
  14. Yea, I knew that, but should it be taken into account that United took down the #1 6a team in the state? I know you play who you play, but Silsbee have not pulled a huge upset yet. Just bringing a little debate to yours list.
  15. United had the most horrible game of the the year. They missed SEVERAL point blank shots and layups. They were probably under 25% from the free throw line. And goodness gracious, the 3 ball refuse to fall. WB hit every once in a while, but United played good team d, which is why they won. And made fewer mistakes than Brook. But the Shewolves will need to work on those free throws and 3 ball. I don't think they'll be another game when Kirvin and the other tall girl misses that many point blank shots....
  16. Very very sloppy game. The holding the ball was started by WB in the first half, they were up by 2 I believe. United went up by like 5 and did it. Only reason United went to it wasn't to take time off the clock, but to get WB out of that zone defense. Took WB a while to come out of it and start attacking, but they finally did. I think this game, the coaches should've just let them play and quit dictating the tempo. Very few transition buckets, no dunks and a lot of pass, pass, pass and holding the ball. And United needs to work on their free throws. I was really impressed with WB's Big men. Big 6'8" and Slim Thug Jr. clogged up the middle on the defensive end. I just don't know how you can beat NS by double digits and struggle to this team. Ohh well, I hope it a all out their system...
  17. You realize that United beat Memorial, right?
  18. You can tell he thought about the windmill off the backboard, but he was excited about this dunk....
  19. Well, he's a little more than Coach Abel, but I get your point. lol
  20. I agree with this post. Every single word.
  21. Congrats, Ladies!
