  1. I think they would compete well at that 5a level. It may be hard for you to understand that the current district is probably the toughest district in the state and whatever team that you support would get monkey stomped on a weekly basis as well….
  2. You realize that the emergence of BU and the closure of Ozen and Central was NOT under Thomas’ watch, right?
  3. I was told that Kelly’s O-Line is horrible. Literally, the RB had to Mike several times right after receiving the handoff.
  4. Our offense will be able to move the ball on this team, but my worries come on giving up the the play on defense. It happened too much for my liking yesterday vs Brazoswood. I think we’ll correct those miscues and get the win.
  5. Do WB need a new coach or is the the result of quite a few players from last year expected to make impacts leaving before the start of the season?
  6. Out of everything I’ve seen, I mean, how pathetic this game is turning out with the one kid they keeps dropping passes and is getting plays in so late and our inability to string a complete defensive stance up, I must say that this Qb impresses me. He has not taken a sack or a loss of yards yet. Also threw some nice passes. I think if we can negate that outside blitz, we’ll be fine.
  7. line play is definitely supposed to be our strength…
  8. Nope. I actually think we’ll be decent this year based on information I’m getting.
  9. Beaumont United Weston Davis Sr. 6’5”, 275 lbs OT Committed to TAMU
  10. I always wondered where Canizales were these days…
  11. So basically, he is doing the same thing that Jackie Semien is doing. Same position she took a few years ago with Beaumont ISD. Congrats, Ashley, my guy!
  12. Yep. He put on some serious size between his Jr. And Sr. Year while keeping the explosiveness.
  13. you’re right. He was a senior on the 2007 football team.
  14. I’m sorry. I got him and Chopper mixed up. I think frog last played for the 2005 team, so that means he was C/O 2006 if memory serves me correct.
  15. I want to say he last played on the 2003 Central team, so that means he was C/O 2003.
  16. We’re not gonna have that discussion. 🙄🙄
  17. Leland McElroy - Central Christine Michael - West Brook Calvin Tyler - Ozen Rodney Randle - Ozen Devwah Whaley - Central Damien Heard - Central Demarcus Smith - West Brook Robert McGrue - West Brook Steadman Williams - Ozen JaKobi Jones Ozen (in no particular order)
  18. That’s what’s it’s about. Winning the game. I’m sure those coaches that actually beat that Silsbee team didn’t complain not one time about Elam. I sure in the heck wouldn’t.
  19. No, I chose my words correctly. ‘Legitimate’ argument. I never said a good argument. That’s your words. But playing devil’s advocate, it based on production compared to the other Silsbee greats. Same debate with Bosha.
  20. Also adding on the way Elam scored his buckets, maybe the opposing team’s coaches should’ve put a defensive game plan in place to stop leak outs and snow birding. Blame them. If your team’s player can snowbird and leak out, you’d be a fool not to let him continue to do it.
  21. Key words here…. Legitimate argument. And I did watch that kid’s games. And about Elam. Know know about his age situation and how he scored his baskets. UIL signed off on it so it was what it was. He scored a ton of baskets, so he also has a legitimate argument no matter how anyone feels about his game or age.
  22. Well, I wonder if folks know that Bosha set the alltime scoring record at that school. So he legitimately has an argument IMHO…
  23. A Heff/Wiesbrod debate is laughable at best. The gab between their high school talents and skills are as wide as the Pacific Ocean.
