True, but that's what I've been saying for the last 3 years... When the pass happens, it's an out pattern. Only actual routs that are ran is when it's a playaction pass, and its a short route. I guess that they are just hoping the run game works most of the time. And the Lumberton front 7 did do a great job. They stopped the inside run and had great pursuit on those stretch plays. As I told Raidergirl last night, Lumberton will win district....

I mean, that's nothing new. Vidor football and staff has always been classy. They always do a group prayer with the other team. It was a great gesture by the Pirate band though. Now that I follow a 4a team and a 6a team, I think I'll make Vidor my 5a team of choice to follow.

Good... And I'm now in the know a lot about Nederland. I have a close relative that works really close to Nederland ISD. Good to know Nederland is making some great moves this year to improve an already solid academic student base.

Livingston had a good team with an exceptional QB, Dustin Harris that single handedly embarrased Central in the district title game. Went on to play at UT. He was a senior in 2008 I believe... That Livingston team was nice. Couple of years later between 2010-2012, they had a great wave of talent come through. They had a senior 'Bull' Mayes and a sophmore Collins (the Athletic QB) and I believe they went on to tie for the district title. Both teams were 4a (then, there was no 6a in 2008) and 5a for the second team I mentioned. Anyway, just amazes me that great talent like this just disappeared with no trace. Funny. The dissipation of talent in Livingston is equivalent to the 'departure' of the old coach, Rowe....
