  1. He's talking about 2016 versions, not 2017...
  2. Hard to compare 2016 versions of PN-G and Carthage. A Junior Ingram and a Sophmore Boy Wonder were about equal in skills of their actual position...
  3. I sat by him at the game. He said the same thing 2 years in the stands when he saw the defense. So, I can vouch for him. They were small, especially in the trenches. Now, they peaked at the right time late in the season , which is why they almost beat Carthage... That and Calvin Tyler running for over 300 yards.
  4. Well, it's a lot of excitement in the neighbourhoods, lots of talk UN the streets about The U, so I expect a big crowd...
  5. I saw Parsley Stadium. Is that not it?
  6. According to Texas Bob, it holds 1K fans, and grass field. It's like playing at Kelly or Legacy...
  7. You'd Think with all of their resources with being able to recruit, you'd think they'd have an adequate stadium.. that's a shame.
  8. Ohh yea, I forgot it was a small stadium..maybe they'll agree to away/away...
  9. Yea, I think next year it's at their place...
  10. I remember there was a team from I believe Louisiana or Oklahoma that played Vidor a couple of years ago and they were taken to the woodshed. I also remember a team from North Carolina that Ozen played a few years ago and Ozen beat them and Ozen's RB had like 300 yards rushing. Just saying, line up, strap up, shut up, and prove it....
  11. That was ALSO Coach Smith's first varsity game as HC and Silsbee's first game under a new offense and defense. There was also a RB controversy as well. Y'all did good to put that game away. This year, 3rd year, stout defense, and 3 years under the system. Also, a few 3 year starters, most on defense. But the game still will need to be played. So, well see, but I doubt that it'll be an easy put away type game...
  12. Lol. You crazy....
  13. I was told that Nederland knows how to handle speed after they saw Memorial already. The Fernandez kid I think will play, but probably will be dinged up. Think it'll be a good game but Nederland at come up 1 score short. .
  14. Lol. Me and Yeoj were just talking about that. He said after seeing it on Thursday at the Rez.
  15. Lol. Funny guy...
  16. This is definitely an inaccurate statement, but I'm not going to elaborate on it. It's over and it's time to show everyone as week 1 approaches.....
  17. Your opinion. You're entitled to it... I also happen to think the same when it comes to y'all playing Newton in a couple of weeks....
  18. I disagree. In PN-G's district, they will play good running teams. Difference is they run it our of shotgun and spread. Still, you need to see your defense do well against teams that run well....
  19. Why are everyone so offense? No one said anything about WO-S not making another championship push. We're going in observations from a scrimmage. It don't matter that it a happened in the past, but THIS YEAR, they were dominated by Vidor, and we already knew this would be an inexperienced squad. Wouldn't shock me or others at all if they don't suffer a loss this year. It also wouldn't surprise me if they lose a couple of games on their schedule. I truly hope they do good this year.
  20. United's defense is coming along well. If our offense can sustain drives and give the defense rest, I see us competing well in this one....
  21. They very well could be 19 points better than WO-S. Maybe 12, maybe 6. I don't think WO-S is down, they are a little behind the learning curve at this point, but they'll be fine. I do think Silsbee is very good. Defense is the best it's been under Coach Smith.
  22. Yea, the star receiver is gone... Made life very easy for everyone...
  23. That's very subjective.... But hey.... *shuggs shoulder*
