  1. You see that others share my sentiments. Reverse racism you say. I'm not a racist at all so , just looks like you're trying to pull a scenario out of thin air just to be relevant in the conversation and try to justify an ignorant post by that other guy...
  2. Go back and read for yourself.
  3. ECBucsFan you used to post smart posts, but they just become pretty ignorant as of late. It's not even funny anymore. Pretty sad, honestly...
  4. If I speak and I address someone and they don't reply back or ignore me, I'm usually done with the whole thing. First impressions are usually the most accurate. Apololgies and acknowledgements go a long way. On I side note I saw you. But I wouldn't been more inclined to stop and say hi to Friedman.
  5. True. Unless they spend their entire non district in the golden triangle...
  6. Pretty good crowd in hand. I'll tell you one thing. Central has son really good shooters as starters and coming off the bench, but the most sound player, well at least in this game was the Seniguar kid. Seemed to grab rebounds well, facilitate the fast breaks, got several assists, and had what appears a nice midrange game. Ozen, fought pretty well. They just didn't have anyone except maybe 1 or 2 players that could create their own shot and lacked size. Still played good defense and will not lose to anyone else except Memorial and Central. If they get some pieces back from those injured players, they'll be a threat to win a couple of playoff games...
  7. They did play in basketball.
  8. That one board member that we are talking about didn't steal anything. Stop being ridiculous. Had she stolen anything, she would've served some serious time. As a matter of fact, non of the previous board ever got arrested.. as I've said, SOOOO misinformed...
  9. ...again,who's upset? People like myself who's actually able to view things from a glass half empty/glass half full can see the whole picture. One of these board members that was elected who was on the previous regime always was and is very active in the respective communities. Very involved in church and involved in many things that in involves volunteer time and effort to help the kids. She's respected in that community. She can't be blamed for the previous fallout of the previous board. The collective unit was horrible as a whole. I just don't know how I'm unclear to you on my thoughts and feelings on this. After speaking to several alum and Ozen people, many share my sentiments.
  10. You're so misinformed, and just seem like you're talking out of side of your neck...
  11. I'm not upset at all. I don't know where you came to that conclusion from. Just stating that I'd PREFER. A preference. That means I would have been ok with either decision, would've just been a tad bit more comfortable if it came from the guys we, the people, voted for. That's all.
  12. I doubt it. I've seen the Katy's, the PN-Gfs, the Nederland's, and the Pearland's, all historically bring huge crowds. Trust me, there's plenty of room and won't even have a need to use Provost Umphrey due to selling out...
  13. Just saying... The board was voted on last year, yet, those guys never have taken a seat. These are people that's from the actual community and interact with the kids in their respective communities. The BOM, those guys are in the communities. Heck, I question if their even from Beaumont...
  14. Yea, I know, I'm in reference to how the kids probably see it. Some of these kids don't even know the legacy that follows Boutee...
  15. Wiesbrod was an absolute monster his soohmore year. I think he ended up getting offensive MVP of the district that year, or some big accolade and the team wasn't shabby either because of him. They even split with 1 or 2 of the back then, big 2, I believe.
  16. According to many that I've talked to off the record, even people that 'coached' on the their players in summer league, that's what myself and quite a few others gathered. But that's water under the bridge at this point.
  17. THIS. EXAAACTLY. This is my issue. I would've been more comfortable had this decision been made by the ELECTED board..
  18. It really depends on the coach. The game have changed from 15 years ago when Boutee was running Beaumont. He's considered old school now. If the new school hires a good middle aged coach, they kids will want to play for him more than likely. Because most of this is about where the city's talent will end up at...
  19. And the district is NOT down. It's shaping up like we all knew it would. We knew going in this year that Memorial would be the team. We knew Central and Ozen would battle #2/3. And we knew Nederland would finish 4th. (well, I lied. A certain few folks thought Nederland would run the district, another story another day)
  20. Umm, Big Show, I understand EXACTLY what you're talking about...
  21. I'm glad the decision was made already. Now we can all move on. This new school will get my utmost support. I'm interested in how this all pans out... Academics, athletics, employment, student body, ect.
  22. Central will have less non district games than Silsbee, more than likely. And chances are, Central won't me playing Katy Tompkins, so I say Central @ Silsbee week 2...
