How about a nod to the pars of town the schools are seated. Central -Old Town Ozen - Pear Orchard Old Pear High, and I'm ok with the Drillers, Hurricanes, or any other big cat as the mascot. Colors are the schiik'a secondary colors, blue and gray/gray and blue.

I do think that for the troublemakers that try to get stuff going, there needs to be VERY strict repercussions to set an example...

They make it seem like that's a huge ongoing issue and that's not the case. Happens sometimes. Now there are bigger issues at both campuses NOT getting addressed. had they been addressed, I would agree...

Jag Insider has 3 kids that go to Central and I have close relatives that go to both Ozen and Central as well as good associates that work at both. Gang activity is definitely not a problem at Central and Ozen. Yes, there are a few fights and some of those few fights at Central are north end/south end fights, but that's it. And for the most part, the Ozen kids are more docile than you think. This article exaggerated things a bit here. There are issues at both schools but these things stated in this article isn't very accurate.

Since you've read many of my posts, did you also see that I'm really good friends with one of your biggest PN-G fans and attend many games with him over the years? Funny though. He probably has a much different opinion of me than you do. I don't think he or many others would coin me as anything close to resembling a racist...

If I speak and I address someone and they don't reply back or ignore me, I'm usually done with the whole thing. First impressions are usually the most accurate. Apololgies and acknowledgements go a long way. On I side note I saw you. But I wouldn't been more inclined to stop and say hi to Friedman.

Pretty good crowd in hand. I'll tell you one thing. Central has son really good shooters as starters and coming off the bench, but the most sound player, well at least in this game was the Seniguar kid. Seemed to grab rebounds well, facilitate the fast breaks, got several assists, and had what appears a nice midrange game. Ozen, fought pretty well. They just didn't have anyone except maybe 1 or 2 players that could create their own shot and lacked size. Still played good defense and will not lose to anyone else except Memorial and Central. If they get some pieces back from those injured players, they'll be a threat to win a couple of playoff games...
