My question is who who'll be the mean pit bulls on this team that want to man up and go after their best player this year? Newton and Tyler are gone and those guys were very aggressive on defense and both had quick feet. -
Don't start....
-
They will be a name change if the schools combine...
-
My opinion, and it will sound biased because I bleed Maroon and Gray... And because after this year, I'll have no kids there... I think they should just poney up the dough, get the numbers together and fix/ rebuild Central (long term). They need the short term solution, but I don't think it should be at Ozen. Those kids won't mesh and it'll be a huge mess. This wouldn't have been an issue had Ozen not been opened from jump street.
-
They'll definitely make a decision on time. Question is, which decision will it be? So many variables. So much ' numbers crunching '. Also many others issues if this is done wrong. Also, this particular board is not the elected board, the board we voted for not too long ago, so many of us question their concern of this whole ordeal. Seems like they couldn't give a rats you know what about athletics in Beaumont....

Should PAM's Jones be starting on both sides of the ball??

I say yes.. although 've is valuable as heck on offense. You gotta do what you gotta do for the team. If it increases your chance to win, then heck yea. In the playoffs, you can't hold back because if you lose, you don't want to have had something else left in your arsenal that you 'could have used'. -

*the cheerleading section* Too old to be cheerleading. And I don't follow college basketball. NBA and HS. And Those guys would be coaching HS teams, you would think. -

...And most seem to agree that AAU coaches can coach just because they're former NBA players... But that's another topic for another day. -

I'm aware of how good Memorial is. But I've already explained why I called them the big 3. And using Silsbee as a gage is weak because Silsbee will beat anyone in SETX with little to no problem, including Memorial. Big 3, meaning big 3 in district.. -

Well, I plan on seeing the kid play. And it's not 'MY' big 3. They are the 3. Ozen and Central almost ALWAYS finish in the top 3 in district. Memorial is an added piece and will slide right in and make it top 3 as Memorial was pretty good even in 6a in talented districts. And we all know our local 5a basketball district is EXTREMELY top heavy.. I really shouldn't have to explain this to a 'basketball guy'... -

They still haven't played the big 3, and BC isn't anywhere near that. I hope you're right though (about his/their off game). -

I had to ask because BC shouldn't be making a team with a player of that caliber to struggle. -
Not a slug at Nederland at all..
-
This is what I meant... Not a slug at Big Ned or PN-G..
-
I will say this... PAM Memorial is the team that's probably better equipped to make a deeper playoff run in 5a around here.

How many did Hefner score? I noticed no one said anything. -
Most Central or Ozen fans have different views. If it happens, and our primary color Maroon us involved, I'd have no issues...
