I also agree at first. Last year's offense was dynamic , the offense at first. Now that that the young guns have been added and a healthy Tre Lowe, it rivals last year's offense. Defense, it's about the same. Except this year, there's been some tweeks that's made the defense a little better this year than last year at this point. the thing I like is special teams. this year's special teams is way better than last year. And just think, This is only Coach Smith's 2nd year. His actual coaching ability will only get better.

Yes, those are parents of the players that run track and play basketball. I know them personally. They wear jerseys and blue and gold every week. they are booster members and are involved besides Friday night's. It's like a groups of like 10 of them. Hats off to them. But the Ozen faithful I'm looking for is the ones from the Coach Brooks years...

Much of this has to do with post Harvey. Central's support wasn't bad before that but I must it's bad now. I've also notice that PN-G's wasn't that great when I seen them Vs. Central, but it could've been because it was a Thursday night game. I admit that I don't go to EVERY Central game 2 years and counting because I have to split allegiances between Ozen, Silsbee, AND Central, but I'm at a game every week, and if allowed, 2 or 3 a week, supporting the kids. Ozen's situation it a little different. Over the years, Ozen had a decent turnout. When they started losing, consistently, the fan base disappeared. Ozen football is not even the talk of local barber shops or anything. With the exception of a few Ozen fans I know personality, the others don't show up at all or even talk them up on social media. Heck, even the ones on here don't even show up. Y'all know who they are.

You can't outright earn the bling bling when you have the exact same district record as the other guy. Your shirt will be inaccurate if you made it like that.

Well, some did and some didn't with the 5a example... With LC-M's situation. I look at it like this... You did beat Silsbee pretty good, but you probably lost to the worst team in district, and team that Silsbee just ran off the field last night...

Well, you'll get the #1 seed because you won the head to head. Meaning you'll face the weaker team more than likely in the playoffs. But if you finish with the identical district record, it's 'CO'. Heck, in the 5a district last year, Vidor, Memorial, and PN-G finished as TRI - District champs... It just goes like that sometimes...

They'd be considered CO district champs.

This is an accurate statement I was just telling a friend last night. Earlier in the season, I was impressed at how Vidor defense flew to the football and made good tackles in open space. I thought that would give them more opportunity against teams like PN-G... What's going on that side of the ball?

According to most standards, this year's WO-S team was down. Imho, and after seen both, Newton would've beaten WO-S this year. Next year? I have no clue..

My understanding that if Vidor wins, they'll finish with 2 losses and will get 3rd seed. It'll leave us with a tie with Nederland. We own the head to head so we'll get in..
