But you gotta pull him, man. Kid is too valuable to y'all and will be a determining factor if you can knock off one of those monsters in the playoffs. No one can give a valid reason why he stays in games during garbage time. The backup plays defense. That's no good reason by a long stretch....

If PN-G are so hellbent on keeping Boy Wonder on the field, even at garbage time, and if the backup QB plays full time on defense, just let Johnson play defense (obviously, PN-G needs help there) and let the Backup get reps at QB. That way, you can still throw passes in garbage time and don't have to feel bad or any bad sportsmanship type stuff. It's got to be to pad stats. No other way. He was still keeping it and running up until like 4 mins left in the game....

Has his eligibility been checked? I remember a few years ago the Nederland coaches was adamant about having the 7' African kid at Central checked and was instrumental in that kid not playing varsity ball for Central.

...and to the Silsbee fans I was sitting by that was hollering 'throw the ball downfield'. Why? You're getting like 7 yards a pop. Why go away from the run? also, they probably didn't notice the 7 mph North winds that would've carried any long pass away. Power run game is working, young guns eating, big nastys doing work....don't go away from it. 2 years in and people still don't realize that this is a running team. Shout out to A. Thomas and Big Hageon doing great work in there on defense.

Wet game? Bridge City is run heavy. We are too. Silsbee, Feed the Young Guns and get out of the way and see what it do. Somebody's run defense will need to flex their muscles.

Johnson stayed in the game the whole time and was taking hits late in the third. That made no sense to me. He was still running and scrambling at that point. He stayed in the 4th, but to only hand the ball off.. still would've benched him. The grand scheme would be to get that backup some snaps. Look at how it worked for us. Phoenix didn't get hardly any snaps this year and it showed.. in blowout games, you gotta get your star player out. Faircloth would've been kicking himself in the rear end has something happened to Boy Wonder...

You got everything right. You said it weeks before the game and how it would happen. I didn't want to believe it because I wanted to believe that we turned it around and figured some things out. We unravelled and just came out flat. Coaches could've made better adjustments though to make this more competitive...
