Beaumont is landlocked and Rita, Ike, and Harvey done a number here. Also, mostly certain people frequently leave Beaumont but continue to work here. That's ok, because other people move here for better lives. Have kids here and work here. Probably a different demographic of people from 20 or 30 years ago, but people nontheless.
