  1. Missed my point. Post was a branch off and 'FYI' from the previous poster's post. I shouldn't have had to clarify that.
  2. Didn't degrade a player. Just pointing out something since the other poster suggested Lowe being QB. I think you read too much into it... But I do agree. All need some work...
  3. Just like they did last year?
  4. The Champs - 42 Bridge City - 24
  5. L-Train - 27 Boy Wonder's squad - 49
  6. I'm anticipating Silsbee will figure some things out like they did last year vs. Jasper and win a close one...
  7. Silsbee - 31 Jasper - 30
  8. There was a lot of things that I didn't expect to happen... I can admit, I was wrong. I would've just hoped Silsbee could've kept the intensity up from that momentum from the first half...
  9. Fyi, Kalon used to be a QB in Pee Wee football....
  10. The MECCA was actually challenged? I'm at an utter loss of words...
  11. I know one thing... Tigers have so much to work on. 1st of all, the O-Line. They got worn out in the middle. 2nd penalties. Horrible execution. You have to get better before district rolls around. 3rd, QB just can't take sack after sack after sack. They, Newton, telegraphed EVERY time they were going to blitz. There needs to be some plays ready. 4th, if you have of the fastest kids in the country on your team, you've got to get him more involved on offense. From a coaching standpoint, there's no way you get shut out in a half by a team that MIGHT have 25 players on their team in total. Defense played well, despite being on the field the entire game, but they still missed several tackles, most of which were tackles for losses. No way the Newton players break like 3 or 4 tackles when bottled up. Hopefully, since this first game is in the books, Silsbee has a gauge of where the level of play needs to be 15+ penalties won't cut it. And I just don't understand how the same RB ran for 1,800 yards as a sophmore gets bottled up all night. Some things needs to be tweaked up to get this kid going for next week. I look forward to drastic improvements next week. back to the lab, Tigers.
  12. That kicker is AMAZING!
  13. Time to light a fire under that defense!
  14. Way too many penalties. Also, need sustained drives. Too many overthrown balls and why is Thomas not getting fed the ball?
  15. Ok. I thought the video was from last year...
  16. Yea... I circled that game on the calender, brother...
  17. You do know that most of those O-Linemen probably bulked up since last year, right?
  18. Jasper's offense keeps Mecca's offense off the field and leads time of possession. Watch out for the Short QB of Jasper. He's ultra quick.
  19. I followed Newton closely after they beat Silsbee last year and seen them get progressively better. But I've also seen this young Tiger team mature right before our eyes, and it'll be evident on the defensive side of the ball. Newton leads this game majority of the game. Newton turns it over late and Tigers capitalize....
  20. The MECCA OF FOOTBALL as we know it - 28 Jasper - 19
  21. Tigers - 35 Eagles - 29
  22. Lol! Exactly. Only the messenger, fellas...
  23. 61 miles north of Beaumont...
