Good to see that each of those young men grew... 5'4" to 5'5" , 5'7" to 5'9",5'11" to 6'2". Kids must've drank plenty of milk over the summer...

My first time seeing Ozen this year... Let me say this.. this game could've easily been a central win by close to 30. Ozen is VERY small this year. Their best 2 players are 5'4" and 5'7" respectively. The other go to guy is a little taller... Maybe 5'11". Central bailed them out by jumping and swatting for balls instead of just standing there with their hands up. Central's best players are tall and are great shooters. Central will finish the first half of district undefeated. The second meeting, I see a similar score unless Ozen plays the 6'6" kid on the bench (Bluit) to give them size.

I agree.. that 5:00 or 5:30 jv start time is horrible on my schedule... They should just stay adherent to the schedule that's been posted since the fall prior to school. Many of us parents have put our work schedules, class schedules, and other children's extra curricular activities around this Silsbee schedule or 4:30 freshman time, 6 jv time, and 7:30 varsity time... Just sucks. Off of my soap box now...

Yes, but he had no idea of the great group of kids following up. He didn't forsee a 9-1 young squad LAST YEAR. No one seen it, including most WB faithful.

Tomball was obviously only looking at the body of work.... A 9-1 regular season record, which, for a team that just finished 2-8 was a gold mine....but what do I know?

The headaches thing is very untrue. Other coaches, yes. Because had the incident never occured, he would've never left. He left because he lost all respect from his fellow co-workers for the asinine move that he pulled. I do completely agree with your last paragraph though....

I didn't think so, but those parents with selective comprehension at West Brook did, which is why they were team Flanagan... Obviously, he wasn't team West Brook parents.

Funny... Had several debates over the years about this and winning and facilities is a huge plus amongst coaches. Less headache bathat HE caused? Prior to the Camera incident, he had no headaches. And if he did the same thing in Tomball, he'd have the SAME headache. Just saying...

And to add more information to this, the parents supported him, but his fellow co-workers were not happy about this and expressed their displeasure, which rubbed him the wrong way. The working environment has changed at WB for him, so it was time for him to go. Information from a few employees at WB.
