  1. Contrary to popular belief, Silsbee D played excellent in the first half. Silsbee got 3 interceptions (props to #22 for the first Silsbee int, my favorite player) . Those weren't given, they were TAKEN. )for the ones that say WO-S made mistakes. Whatever. Anywho, you have to score points in the red zone. Dropped TD passes won't cut it. Also, on the passing game, Jones has to play like a senior. You can't take those big sacks and take safeties. If you're out of the pocket, throw it to the line of scrimmage or throw it to someone's feet. Also, those overthrown passes.... You can't do that and hope to wine against. State championship caliber team. Tyler (lightening) did his thing in the first half, but props to the WO-S defense for running him down on those big runs. Very rare that I've seen him run down from behind.. Second half, WO-S played even better D. They scored a lot of points late in this one, but still, you have to play the whole game. I'm glad I was able to see this WO-S team... The defense is good. they are small, but they hit hard, don't miss tackles, and peruse like there is no tomorrow. There is ever hardly Amy corners to turn. They get after it EVERY play. WO-S one weakness is QB play, if you can call it a weakness. You don't throw interceptions to young defenses and you're supposed to be one of the State's best. And that fumble, that was all on the QB... Other than that, I have NO gripe at all in the WO-S football. See you at state, and rest assured, you WILL be there. Silsbee won't face another team like that this year. I'm convinced that they will win district if the defense keeps playing like that...complete those passes, and silsbee will be fine. Sorry I'm replying so late, took an immediate drive to Houston following the game. I went to WO-S side after halftime to sit with a friend. thanks for the hospitality, minus a few jackarses I has to get on. Lol
  2. The only ones scared of biaplayer is other PN-G fans with thin skin....
  3. Setx weather change at the blink of an eye, literally...
  4. You know they've scored a good chunk of points, even in losses...
  5. Yes, it does start up front. I saw them... They are relatively small though. Looks like 1 of them looks big. I'm more impressed with the linebackers. Just my opinion. Overall, they're still good.
  6. You say top 3 defenses to play at WO-S? Still too early to tell. We won't know untill season's end how they do en route to the State Title this year. I've seen some salty WO-S defenses in the past, or should I say some salty defenses in general. Time will tell though. I hope it turns out they are though, so I can say that I've had the pleasure of seeing them up close and in person...
  7. You would think, and I wasn't going to break those out either....
  8. I really believe that to be a good statement... That he'll see a good defense next week vs. Kennedale...
  9. ...And when you play a small Nederland team, LC-M, Bridge City, and that super duper weak Kipp school, most team's freshman Running back would have similar numbers. There's a kid Friday that you'll see that's faced PN-G (they'll vie for a district championship this year), Newton (always Good defense), and Jasper (who always plays tough in the rivalry game) that put pretty similar numbers. Once again, these are facts, not detractions....
  10. I give up. Some just won't get it....
  11. It's more to RB's than size... It's great feet, balance, vision, speed, acceleration, and the ability to make people miss. Sure size helps, but....
  12. Some of y'all are so dim whitted sometimes. I was comparing RB's and put facts put facts out there and y'all saw it as a slug... Smh... But yes, I expect him to have a good game tomorrow, just like I said in a previous post.. ...also, he has a lot of offers as well too since Earl Thomas got thrown into this conversation somehow...
  13. I guess that's true. I guess that's like comparing Barry Sanders to Emmett Smith....
  14. Just putting it in perspective.. just comparing the kids... There's a huge difference in 6a and 4a competition. Tyler did really well vs. all competition. These are facts... I expect him to have a great game tomorrow nigh as well as be has dating back from last Fall up until now.... And I'll be at Hooks Stadium to check the Shaw kid out as well....
  15. Tyler played 6a competition as well... PAM was 6a last year and they played West Brook, who has an enrollment of 2,400+ kids. I doubt that the WO-S kid have sniffed 6a competition nor would he want to. Tyler also played against the huge Florida team last year, who has 6a numbers... Guys, lets not get ridiculous here....
  16. I believe it was one poster that brought up a basketball game in this thread, not Silsbee supporters as a whole...
  17. Disrespectful?
  18. I assume they want the Homecoming festivities in Saturday night, AFTER the game...
  19. Aaw, to answer your question, it is Ozen's homecoming weekend. That's why it's Saturday afternoon....
  20. Not too many teams in 4a can hang with this WO-S team. But no one tries to get moral victories. I believe every team from this point, including Silsbee is trying to win...
  21. Chain Gang (WO-D) vs. The Ghost Runner and Brick wall (Silsbee backfield) . The game within the game. Gonna be fun to watch...
  22. I've seen PN-G travel too. They they travel better than that...
