Pretty good numbers and they'll get better when their in the heart of the district. The defense did considerably well against the run, it you can't slow teams to kill you with the weaker part of their game. As this young secondary gains experience, they'll be ok...

I know what you mean, but he is still #2 on the depth chart. And Tyler does play on defense sometimes as well... You have horses, ride them! That kid had almost 1,500 yards last year. If you need that horse, he's there at your disposal...

Lots of rain did ultimately cause the bad conditions. And like AAW said, everything possibly imaginable as done and still nothing. I'm sure others wig grass fields did what Silsbee did and also don't have the funds to lay turf....

Over the last 5 years, I remember may be 1 serious injury on that field and I don't even think it was due to the field conditions. If there's been injuries due to this over the last 5 years, please remind me because I don't remember...

Everything I've said, I know as well and I've walked it too all summer up until last night to be exact. But I'm just saying, I've seen worse fields in SETX, and I'm sure you have as well. I understand that its embarrassing to you being that you've been around Silsbee athletics longer than I have, but right about now, all grass fields are affected... You play with the cards you are dealt. Like I said, if you can get turf, get it. If not, bow up and keep trucking....

Well, you make adjustment... Give Tyler the ball on the better parts of the field and let Thomas run the ball more a he's the straight forward power back... We complain about the field but can you imagine how it would've been had it rained? You couldn't do ANY cuts, just straight line plays...

It's not embarrassing. You cannot control mother nature. It rained, rained, rained... As it does sometimes in SETX. Other teams that live here understand. the only ones that recently made a stink about it was the Jackarse Superintendent from The Ant Mound...

I know about all this, it I'm pretty sure that all grass fields in SETX are in the same shape if not worse... And everyone have to play on it. If you dint have turf in your budget, then you just don't... You have to make due. If you have it like that, then by all means, get it asap.

Probably will have to wait till the offeason... More dirt for the dents and dips, better fertilizer for thicker grass, maybe even closing the retractable roof.... Honestly guys, come on... It's not that serious. I've seen more horrible fields. I've seen dirt fields with patches of grass. Both teams have to play in it... Geezz...

The Central Freshman team had a 6'7" fish and a guard that was always the most athletic kid on the court... Central will be ok, along with a good JV team from last year and Dill and co...

They threw to other receivers only when they went to the obvious double team on Barnes... Newton caught the TD and was targeted a few times as well as other players. But I would like to see Tyler and Thomas rotated out at RB, to give a change of tempo... Let Adonis pound them for the rough yards and bring C in for the Home run hitter.... Just my opinion, I think somehow or another, they both need to be in the game, but I can see why. That fullback be clearing baths....

Newton had to play on it too... It was bad, but not an excuse... The field didn't effect dropped passes or a running team to throw for almost 300 yards... Back in the lab and work out some things and get the W over Jasper...

I hope that he's ok as well. I hope someone gives us an update on how he's doing... Speaking of faithful fans, I wasn't too happy with the negativity that I've witnessed. Talking crap about a coach that's barely coached 2 games is ridiculous. Leaving in the third quarter in a 2 score game... Not chanting the defense chant when your players are signaling for your to get loud on 3rd and long...just a few things that urked my nerves....

Just got home from the game... For the people that's arguing about the offense. You need to get our and watch football more.. it's go good offense and its working. Tyler had a big game tonight, and the QB Jones did good too. But you can't do anything about the dropped passes. I counted like 7, 4 were going to be scores (4 TD's) left on the field. You're not going to beat good teams like that. Defense did better. They were hosed out of that interception (ref say it was a completion, BS) and they got a safety, and almost had another one (ref say it was in 1 yard line, more bs) . What I did see is that the kicker mad and extra point attempt, which is a good start in the right direction. We need those freebys because going for 2 every time is for the birds. Overall, the o-line is playing better. Shout out to that Spikes kid from Newton. He's a gamer and will win a lot of games for this group of Eagles.

Lumberton did nothing except run well and had good line play, and blitzed on defense... Silsbee had a play which produced a 50 yard TD that they never went back to, just letting people know that it was there all night. Actually 2. the other was the street handloff to Tyler. Against PN-G, Still moved the ball pretty decent. It was just the young defense didn't come to play against a pretty good PN-G O-line. They'll be ok. Newton may have depth issues, which may benifit Silsbee. Silsbee still has arguably the best backfield in SETX, so defenses will need to game plan for that, no doubt. Just remember, the QB transfer haven't had a big game yet... If everyone is clicking like they should, they can beat Newton. For the young players on Defense, now that those first game gitters are gone, now they can knuckle up and make some stops.
