Not taking anything away from the State Champion WO-S QB, but it's a team effort to win state. This award is about individual performances. It's got to go to the Silsbee kid.

The story absolutely was not started by 'Youngsters'. Smh. I heard this reference, again , since the mid 90's. And it has nothing to do with the ridiculous notion of a record label (still funny as heck that someone would say that lol) or smoking weed. If thats the case, every town and city would be nicknamed 'Smoke Town'. Straight ridiculousness... Smh

Just saying that a win Over previous #1 Ozen in the week would hold more weight than wins vs. Jasper or LC-M...

Well, it was funny because that story wasn't true at all. . Lol. And the comment about H-J was a rebuttal to what you said. When you jab me, don't get in your feelings when I jab you back... That's all I'm saying. Like I said, I will be rooting for this kid's from here on out. This is their year and if they can play more consistently and beat Bridgeport, they'll be the last 4a team standing, imo.

Silsbee has taken 3 lopsided losses... Ozen, only 1. Ozen also reeled off 11 straight wins prior to losing to Central last Tuesday. During that span, they beat some pretty stiff competition, 6a and 5a. So who's to say Ozen wouldn't have beat Silsbee?

Maybe I didn't make myself clear, so I'll repeat myself... I think the above polls are perfect with the exception of what I'm debating. Has nothing to do with my picks whatsoever... But I'm sure you knew that.

Yea, I understand what you're seeing, but Ozen was the hottest team in setx prior to Tuesday AND was # 1 in the rankings and took a loss... That's my point...

And this is the sake of debate, because I think the rest of the polls are perfect.

Ok, they didn't leapfrog. I actually had them #3. But you get my point... I mean... I'm sure that even the teams that got votes and didn't make the rankings at the bottom would have no problem with LC-M or Jasper....

But wins vs. Jasper and LC-M propels you to #1?

Getting monotonous, and silly. But I still want to be sure who the best team that Silsbee have faced in the last 15 years. BS, you never answered....

Interesting Silsbee beats Jasper and LC-M (c'mon now ) last week and leap frogs to #1 but Central won 2 games last week, one of which was to Ozen, who was #1 last week (Central owns TWO wins against them) and is only #2. Am I the only one that finds this to be a head scratcher?

No, never coached them (i don't coach). But a fan of them. Seen them from pop Warner football and through Middle school. Great kids with great attitudes.

No, not at all. I have a few kids whom I've became fond of that plays on this team. I hate that they lost in the Regionals and have told them that this is their year. I have plans on checking them out in the playoffs...

Silsbee had a full squad when they got beat by 40 at home.... Who gets blown out like that in front of their home crowd?

The 2012-2013 Central squad starting 5 consisted of..... 3 sophmores and 2 Freshmen. That same year, Silsbee did have some freshmen and JV players... But also had a seasoned upperclassmen... That one uperclassmen was the one that did the most damage... And with that said, what, did you win by 1? 2?

Yea, everyone remembers a 40 point thrashing. A dunk fest, one of which happened in your own gym... Lol
