  1. Correct... He wouldn't have gotten the AD position in BISD... So smart move in him. And I don't think it necessarily had to do with the riff raff in BISD, just simply an opportunity.
  2. And to get prepared financially and set up for retirement, what better way to do that than take the administration job? He made a choice to quit coaching... I good choice, May I add. Matter of fact, there was a thread that I pretty much explained it almost as you did. But at the end of the day, the bigger picture is NOT on the sidelines...
  3. I figure when Williams got suspended that Boutee would have 'double dutied ' at that point. That would have been the perfect opportunity for him..... IF he was still interested in coaching....
  4. Dude, did you not remember out conversation last time? he left for a promotion... A promotion came with more money... I thought you'd figure that out by now...
  5. Uhh, Boutee isn't coaching again... But, I wouldn't be surprised if Anthony gets the job. You see, if Boutee wanted to keep coaching, he would've just stayed at Ozen.... And Dickey V, over the spans of about 2 or 3 weeks, it seems by your comment above that you feel young Boutee is 'ready' . What changed over the last few weeks?
  6. I didn't say it, but several close to the situation says so... Like I said previously, one of them YOU know well and respect to the utmost... Actually, one of the ones that said that he wasn't ready posted on here and got you all bent out of shape because he's 'family'. But hey, I'm just the messenger, OF...
  7. Several close to the situation... A couple of whom I just so happen to know personally.... And one of them YOU just so happen to know personally...
  8. Yea, I had a feeling that OF would be hollering for Anthony Boute to get the job. But it's been confirmed that he wasn't ready. For a head coaching job like Central just a couple of weeks ago... So why would he be ready for a 6a Head Coaching job? Probably because his Dad will guarantee him the job?
  9. Yes, that's our point, but he has yet to give a valid rebuttal to that statement. BTW, the Boutee that was mentioned is Anthony Boutee, which was the one that applied for the job. Peanut Boutee (Andre Boutee Jr.) is his brother.
  10. I assume that the many other coaches that played and lost to Ozen last year were out coached as well? Smh.
  11. Ozen played a very good game that night... They battled hard on the boards and hustled. But you're missing my point... That was almost every team's goal... To slow Central down.... Few teams were able to stop it... So that tells me it worked... That Ozen thread has no relevance here....
  12. No, because he have been coaching for a while... He started thinking of the promotion.... The long term. He's an older gentleman. Being a basketball coach with the constant hot gyms and hollering at teenage boys can take a lot out of an older gentleman. So, he takes the laid back administration job in his later years. He don't have much to prove coaching anyway. Leave the coaching to the young fellas. It's several high scholarship coach's and teachers for that matter to get that administration job. Do some research and you get a clue... Smh.
  13. Boutee left for the administration position. He didn't leave for another coaching job. C'mon, man. BUT, great move on his part...
  14. FB Bush tried to slow it down. They lost... Memorial tried it... They lost.... Even Ozen tried it the first two times... Those first 2 games resulted in losses for them... I can name many others. That was almost every teams game plan vs Central the last couple of years.... How many Central games have you seen, or are you just piggybacking off of what was TOLD to you?
  15. ...at I add that Ozen got beat in the third round to a little team south of us that year....
  16. Central was beaten but I don't think Paul was the HC. Also you never addressed the 2014 Central team that played the same way and lost a heart Breaker to the eventual state champs despite losing their best player in the first period. They played the same way and was competitive 80% of the game.... Looks like that style can do good... See, Yates and other good Houston teams used it for years to dominate... But who am I? Just fan in the stands.....
  17. Me personally, I'm all for the more qualified person... I also factor in how the new head will mesh with the players and/or fit with the system that's already in place... Obviously, they've thrived with it, which is why he said 'if it's not broke, don't fix it'.
  18. To me, it seems like you implied it when you made the comment about a typical BISD hire comment... It was a head scratcher because I know of a lot of programs, especially basketball that has no problem hiring from within...
  19. But Boutte is a hometown guy. He's a local guy with several ties to BISD. Just saying.. And I would say that as far as experience, Paul and Boutte experience are on the same ladder rung, with a slight edge to Paul since he's like almost 15 years older than him..
  20. I'm not a big fan of Mr. Saveat, but I have to admit that this was a great hire... I wonder would you have said this if Anthony Boute landed this job....
