7.
Soulja, in no way was I questioning the Coaches credibility. Was responding to blogger "Coach" that posted last yrs records. JMO, I think 1 - 3 in district is a toss up. Central & Ozen no doubt has talent. There is no reason for either school to miss playoffs with 4 teams going. Yeah I said it, no EXCUSE to be absent from post season. We should be one of the 4 every year with the talent we have. Other 2 spots the rest of the District can fight for that. It can be done. We did it @ Lincoln in Basketball forever. It takes belief & a Coach that knows & cares about their players. I can hear the naysayers now. "Non Believers" Losers Mentality. Hopefully MaGee & Foreman have a winners mentality that rubs off on their programs. It starts at the top. Mighty Bumblebees
8) 8) + 1 for you!
 8.
I've said it once & I'll say it again to Jags fans. You have the WOS Coach, unless you snuck in a few quality players also the score will be about the same as last year. To the rest of 20 4A, I still don't understand how most bloggers have Ozen @ the bottom battling for last playoff spot.  1 - 3 in District will be a toss up. If it comes down to the last game of the Season, we will have a 3 Teams share the Title.  I have no idea why PNG is in the equation. Go Panthers!!!!
He coached for WO-S over 5 years ago...NOT as a HC.  I'm still waiting to see how he does.  I'll be crucial on him just like any other coach untill we see results.  But I do know that we have just as much talent as you guys on the sidelines and ANY coaching staff could be better than what he had the last couple of years.  That means we'll be competing for a playoff spot and possibly more.  Actually I think Ozen will be very darn good will flat out say that the Soul Bowl will be a VERY interesting one.

 13.
A strong running game, strong defense, and great coaching.  Should keep Nederland in the hunt for another DC and possibly State.
Nederland will have a good team, no doubt with a solid running game and good defense, but as far as a serious state title run?  It will depend on how the chips fall.  Georgetown is still out there along with your Dawsons, your Angletons and teams like that.  If the other strong teams in the region are upset and/or Nederland peeks  in the playoffs, this may be THE  big year for Big Ned.

And having 2 grandson and a number of other kids on that team that calls me PaPa, puts me in a position that I'll have to be there. But I'm looking to be there in the playoff with you all if things work out for the Jags.
I have no trouble sitting on the visitor side of the Butch.  ;) 8)

 16. Amen on that.  I grew up not far from the MLK highway/railoroad project in the late 80's and early 90's.  We used to take the construction sticks and play sword fights all day every day.  Football in the open fields.  'Hot' ball when it wasn't enough for teams.  Hid and seek.  Building tree houses.  All we needed was the water hose...and to have our butts in the house before the street lights came on.  We were not INSIDE children, unlike the kids of today...
 17. It's really hard to gauge what Central will do in any of the questions that Jackthehammer posted.  There is a lot of unknown.  I know that they looked crisp in the spring football game, but it's games vs. yourself.  I havn't seen him implement a game plan against anyone nor have I seen him make an in game adjustment.  But, what I do know is that this team, talentwise, will be just as loaded, if not more loaded than the reigning district champions.  Can they be put in a position to win 8 games?  It's possible.  Can they beat Nederland and PAM?  Possible.  Can they rival the Champs for the district crown, most definitely.  Maybe after a scrimmage, I can make a better analysis...

Everyday was my last day but I kept showing up each day. I know its hot out there and with all the heat related problems we have seen  recently I understand. I dont know how we older guys made it through those practices.
The wife and I were talking about that.  Kids are softer , IMO.  We didn't have a bunch of heat related issues that I can remember. Just toughed it out and drank plenty of water!  If i remember correctly we couldn't even go get water when we wanted, had to wait for the coach to blow the whistle.
don't know bout yall but when I was a kid we were outside all day anyway.. we were already used to the heat.. and drank from the waterhose... I played softball.. we were always practicing and when we weren't we were playing games twice a week. And on Saturdays in the heat of the day.
same here.
Ditto.  My grandmother and Mom didn't play that in and out of the house.  You stay outside and we utilized that garden hose.  Lol

What a joke of a facility, not to mention they're 4A.
