1.
the last update i saw on texasroundball nederland wasnt ranked.  sorry
According to the TABC state polls (the one that matters), Nederland is currently state ranked...
 2. I see they got a win.  Looks like you won't need to jump ship yet, Catman.
 3. I remember the first game between West Brook and Central.  The game was close in the 4th.  One of his teammates missed the shot.  He soared in for a outback dunk.  The fire he gave off after that got his teammates hyped up.  I believe that is what they needed to build momentum to put us away on that night.  He's going to help this team win a lot of games.
 4.
Although you are probably right, that is why they are called upsets. NO one can predict when they will occur.  Ask Florida's football team, Phy Slamma Jamma, Georgetown, Central (silsbee with jv players) etc... ;D
ohh, now, you're just WRONG!  ;D
 5. 3 of your 2013 playoff teams playing a substantially weaker team this weekend. 2 of those teams are state ranked.  There will be NO upsets, fellas.
 6. Hadnot has some serious game to go along with that fire and passion for the game.
 7. That kids souls have just gotten out of the way because he sure in the heck wasn't blocking that.  ..  Nasty!
 8.

Kevin Goodwin of Center would be a good hire for this one. A younger succesful coach, good guy, good football mind, would be able to motivate and inspire the guys there while implementing an actual system instead of street ball.He has some ties to the area I believe.
In football?  What is STREETBALL?
I'm still waiting on an answer to this question...  ??? ???. Never heard of street ball in a football context...
 9. I believe in a strong schedule, however, in situations like tournaments, you play whoevers next.  Now, you do control what tourneys you sign up for, but every tournament has a team that will finish last and you have  teams that are head and shoulders above the rest.  It's the nature of the beast.  In H-J's case, I think they would have competed well in a tourney like the Gamble classic in order to prepare for district and playoffs.    They would have seen teams like a Silsbee or a Dallas Madison(who I think very well could be in the state title game).
Yates?  According to you, HJ may not make the playoffs with weak schedule and Prudhomme gone and if they do, they will certainly lose before  getting to Yates.  Answer my question about Centrals schedule please.  Why arent they playing in a 5-a tourney in Houston or Dallas to get ready for playoffs?

Central has played in the two best tournaments in the area. Gamble and ymbl. Of course HJ go make the playoffs. Even though they might end up dplitting district with WOS. HJ was in a 2a tournament. Come on now
Central has not went out of the BMT area to play anybody its all been with in 5 miles off there school. They could have play in the Pasadena tour. where the big boys play.
I suppose that the Lufkin Tourney was within 5 miles of Beaumont, right?  The gamble classic (PA) is also within 5 miles.  port Arthur is at least 15 miles from Central HS.  . Also, Straik Jesuit in Baytown would be considered a little more than 5 miles.  I think you need to worry about your little 'BS' and them getting blown out by 30 than speaking on something that people like yourself have NO idea about..
Boy did u take the bait I caught me a little bass.
Some of the most ridiculous posts that I've ever seen were created by you.  So, I'm pretty sure you wasn't throwing bait. ;)

 14. We have every team's schedule and result in the sticky thread at the top.  You'll find your answer there.
 15. I give you shoot selection, but Frank had a rare ability to create his own shot against anyone.  He could score on good defenses,  he was taller and IMO, more athletic at this very same point as Mr. Hunter.  Now, Hunter, IMO will have a chance to get better.  Also, remember, Frank played on the big stage as a freshman, therefore, making him way more of an experienced player than Hunter is now.
 16.
Im takin JORDAN HUNTER with the 1st pick ..lol. :)...True D.Frank was a hell of a talent...but he NEVER got better...he was a HORRIBLE shot taker kinda like Jamal Crawford.. Jordan has a HIGHER BBALL IQ which says it all...and yes character is part of the equation...if basketball is 80% mental/20% talent then it's Jordan 80/ D.Frank 20....
Very good points!
 17.
Again like I said before it sounds like your beef is personal not basketball related cause we can hear it your tone. Central is extremely talented and like I said it's their BEST team since 99' ask Freeze1914. I mean dang after 10 yrs of losing to the same school don't you think it's their time to return the favor. Ozen isn't concerned about winning a measly district title their concerned with winning a state title. That's a huge difference.I thought your suppose to win when it counts which is postseason not regular season smh. You'd rather be a district champ than a state champ...lol...guess your dream of coaching will end where it starts nowhere... And btw you say Toe is not that good ive watched him and he's coming into his own keep in mind he's a sophomore . He's way more aggressive than he was last year and he's gonna only gonna get better. So OzensFinest concentrate on helping whomever and wherever you are get to where they need to be... And P.S. THE REAL SUPPORTERS GOT THIS.... 8)
I guess he TOOOLD you!  :o ;)
They beat nederland to go to regionals WOW big deal
They also had to beat other teams to get to that point.  If I'm not mistaken, didn't Nederland beat them in district AND was state ranked for a majority of the year?
Just tell you how much ozen's program has gone down nederland seriously? C'mon soulja, I've watched central this year their talented but not more talented than Ozen the big sophomore from central isn't that good to me
Seriously, Nederland has been a serious contender for about 4 years and counting..Where have you been?  Under a rock? Now, I call it like I see it.  Central is a lot bigger and talented than Ozen this year.  You say Wilridge (the big sophomore) isn't that good, but I guarantee you that he had double digit rebounds and about 5 blocks vs. Ozen in both meetings.

As far as we all know, Coach Washington is still there.  Wash is a good football coach and a great human being.  He will return the Jags to success soon.
I agree.  He IS a great human being...
