I didn’t want to get pulled in this tired debate, buuuuuuut. I think this goes with how the whole merger thing took place. That and along with how many detractors say this and that about BISD…. Mismanaging money, blah blah blah, yada, yada, yada…. at the time of closing Central down, all 3 schools could’ve been merged which would have consolidated the funds. Instead of spreading the salaries and resources over 3 campuses, you can only do it with one campus. Probably would’ve improved academics as well, and also while improving the athletic program in Beaumont. Due to the fact that this is a football message board, yea, people are talking about athletics, namely football. But looking at it from and overal standpoint, combining the schools would’ve done EVERYONE good. The detractors, supporters, kids, community, ect. Buuuuuut, this is all water under the bridge since it has been established that there will just be two schools. 🤷🏾‍♂️
