[/quote] Why are you wanting so bad to compare Boutte to Seveat?  There's no comparison.  A lot of good coaches in the are now don't compare to him.  I know all about Ozen's standards.  It's a change in the times.  Be happy with their current success.  They made an impressive push, even farther than Central and Nederland.  Take that for what it's worth.

Also, Ozen isn't getting ALL of Beaumont's talents anymore.  It's a change in the times, man.  The talent is evenly distributed now.  Green and Zeno at West Brook and the young guns at Central.  Now to think about it, where is y'all's young gun, Boyd?

[/quote]    No.  Wasn't really an excuse.  It's just that I've seen them both play.  Brook more than once.  Brook played a great game against a talented Madison team that I felt would beat all of our area teams.  Nederland lost to West Brook in the Dog Dome and also list to Central (Who might I mention lost to West Brook).  Factor that along with the fact that Nederland's game with Central finished at 11ish and West Brook's game finished at 12:30ish would mean that West Brook was indeed more tired than Nederland. All teams have good nights and bad ones. Ned played really good today against WB, and WB was off. Did you even watch the game? Also, maybe you should look at the team Ned beat in the 1st round, OP Walker. They won the Cons. Bracket and went 3-1 in the tourney as well. For whatever reason you don't want to give Ned any credit, and it's getting old. I think what we are finding out is that about 7/8 area teams can pretty much beat each other on any given night. There is a lot of talent in the area, and there is not ONE distinct dominant team in SETX this year, yet. Big Ned is looking for payback vs WB from Tuesday.

This game was between 2 well matched teams.  The final Scott was not an indicator ofhow competitive this game was.  West Brook hung with them, even taking the lead sometimes.  They just couldn't keep it'scrappy' in the last few minutes of the game.  West Brook IMO may be in the district championship race.  They were  that good. Madison? They have unreal height and length for a 3a team.  Their guard play, however is what makes them go.  #5  for them couldn't miss as he hit the 3 ball on quick catch and shoots, and he killed the mid ranged jumper.  Silsbee and H-J, expect to see them in Austin...

I loved the way Central battled back when they were down early.  A couple of key buckets by Mitchel and Pearson got us going.  Way to gut it out and make it to the championship round.  We'll need our best game top beat Madison and their twin towers.

Ohh.  Ok.  Memorial.  I thought Memorial was pretty good.  And Silsbee beat them?  Those guys will do nice things in district.
