[/quote]You'll need an inside threat.  Well maybe I should say, it will help to  have an inside threat against a team that can match with speed.  Prudhomme was your X factor last year.  I think you'll do fine in district as well because of coaching, but I'm interested in seeing how you'll adjust to life without the big fella.

If I'm not mistaken, playoffs are on the line.  Let's see....  We'll lose. 

Moot point because even with Dr. Thomas's salary, which was an issue to some people for some reason, teachers were still getting hired and getting raises.  Now, even when the search for a new staff begins, they still won't earn Neumann or Faircloth type numbers,  even if Dr. Thomas  was still employed.

I was at this game.  Ozen looked outclassed severely.  On offense, Nederland did whatever  they wanted with the power running game for the most part.  The o- line dominated.  There were some hard hits administered by the bulldog secondary.  Besides the one long fun  from Jones from Ozen, they pretty much controlled the game.  Nederland's front 4 are not only big, but athletic.  I saw them run down several Ozen ball carriers going east to west.  The Ozen QB threw a few ints mostly  because he overthrew a reciever.  I would have expected a little more fight from Ozen and their staff.  They kept running the same plays that didn't work and the play that got Jones a 50 yard gain wasn't ran again (a common move of Beaumont football these days).  I believe it was a lot that Big Bed was holding back.  They kept it Vanilla,  was which was smart.  No need to show your hand vs. a nonplayoff team.  I wish you a good season, Nederland.  I see how good you are and I fully expect a deep playoff run from you.  That's why from this point forward, I'll be extra tough on you. ;)

And Vidor has a good line and from what I was told about that game was that Vidor was going through your line like toilet tissue and coming off the corners. trust me Livingston if they choose to come off the corners, will get there a lot faster. They will not have to come off the corners and will still get there fast. What you people are failing to do is give vidor's  defense any credit.  Their defensive front isn't bad.  While in the meanwhile, I've seen Livingston's defense first hand vs. Silsbee and I'll say this...  I'm not the least bit worried about weather or not we'll be able to move the ball on offense.  I have worries, but offensive production isn't one of them... 8)
