Ozen is in a situation with a lot of young players. And I mean babies! Maybe 3 seniors and they will be busy changing diapers this year and trying to keep the crying to a minimum. Lets see, Ozen should have  6'6", 6'6", 6'4", 6'5" 6'3" and another 6'4". Thats about 6 bodies to wear down most of the posts in 20-4a, and several fouls to give as the Panthers wear down the opposing post with sore arms. As far as a starting line up, its up for grabs because this team will be so young with very limited varsity experience.
Well, they'll be long.  That's for sure.  I don't know about lanky long or stocky long, but long, nontheless.

Where will they play? Whose spot will they take? Central is already loaded with young and upcoming talent from their freshman team and returning freshman.
Yes.  I doubt we'll bench the 3 freshmen that started last year and G. Mitchell.  The only spot left to fill is the one left from K. Smith.  I've seen video that Pearson kid and he sure can go.  It would be interesting if we go to another starting freshman this year or will we mold them and let some upperclassmen step in.  Seems to be a 'good problem' at Central.  8)

HF scored once against Central and  central's  qb directed the offense to a scored in 3 or 4 plays and then was pulled for the rest of the night. BH FAN do indeed tell big lies and little truth. Heck we had like 70 kids and HF had more then Central also. Don't understand the low turnout?
Now you resort to making fun of the Freshman turnout as well for a moral victory?  You people, I sware.  lol
I'm not making fun of the Freshmen. I didn't understand why ya'll had low number of players. You mad? ;D
Nope.  Not at all.  Freshmen will do well this year, no matter the numbers.  8) 8)  We don't concern ourselves with numbers.  We'll have talent in abundance regardless.  ;)

Next week.
of course its a glorified practice when you get dominated by a bunch of Barbies.  ::) Anyone know if HF gave Central the business too?
It's funny.  BH was the undefeated district champions last year and we did fairly well against them.  You dominated a weak Atascocita team that will struggle to stay out of the cellar in that district.  But, you're right.  We count on scrimmages to determine who will win the game next week.
If it makes you feel better, ya'lls Freshmen team beat us pretty good. Them boys had W over 6'0" out there. Only 30 kids though? Never remember Central having only 30 kids on a team. Anyways, Soulja don't go to the game against PAM next week. I have a feeling it's going to get ugly fast.
Nah.  I'll take my chances and go watch my team.  Too bad you have to actually line and and play the game to be awarded the winner of an actual game, ynot a practice).  But with a team like BH, you'll take any moral victory you can.  If it makes you sleep better, beat your chest on this.  It still won't change the record books that you have yet to beat a Beaumont Team.  It's 0-2.  ;)
I'm not beaing my chest at all. Just speaking the truth. I know it's a hard one to swallow thinking the Jags were going to do great in a practice and all. Central hasn't beat a HF team ever. Oh ya'll tied in a practice.  ;D
Do you win or lose a practice?  I don't understand that.  I know one thing for sure...  In the record books, there was NO tie with 2011 BH loss to Ozen and 2006 Loss to Central.  That will always be seen.  You don't record scrimmages (practices).  It's practice.  Do you win/lose those?  NO.  lol.  But, take your moral victory.  Even living vicariously through H-F.  tisk tisk tisk

They played 18 minutes a piece with a running clock. Central- QB didn't look good, but the option was hurting BH on the outside. entral better not ever rely on the pass because they couldn't throw very well. Central D was not very good and couldn't stop BH RB, who is a Junior. He's like bowling bowl and plowed over the Jags on almost every play he ran the ball. Not mpressed with Central. HF- I actually thought they looked decent. Not too bad on defense and had some decent speed. They may surprise some teams in that tough district. HF and Central both scored I think 1 TD when they scrimmaged each other. Central might have had a second one against them, but HF hung with Central. BH= IMO the offense when they got things going looke good, Strating out they fumbled a couple of times, but put together some good drives. The defense looked good and swarmed to the ball, but the option hurt them a little when Central ran it. The Central QB I think was scared to get hit because he pitching the bal way tooearly on the option. I thinkit was BH 1 score to Central 1 score. BH 1 score to HF 0 score. I left after BH and Central played each other so other things may have happened. Overall, I think BH will compete for one of the playoff spots.
thanks Tradinup :) like i said I showed up at about 8 PM :-\
Sorry for the spelling, I'm typing in the dark. ;D They said they were doing one more round when I left. I don't care for the 3 way scrimmage idea. Overall, BH did look the best. I thought HF looked better then Central. Central's bright spots were the big play potential and speed. They didn't execute that well though. In a real game, I think BH would smoke Central. It looked like Central was tired from all of their pre game chants and jumping up and down. ;D
True, didn't get to see HF against Central, but saw that HF couldn't do anything about BH. Centrals first possesion against BH it was my opinion of them came from. BH looked bad on D during that Drive, but the second possesion by Central they came alive and started doing very well.
Central QB didn't want no part of getting hit. One drive for Central I started laughing because BH was swarming and it made it 3rd and long. Central QB threw about a 15 yard pass and skipped it off the turf 4 yards and the WR caught it in his hands. The officials gave them a 1st down. Must have been replacement refs or something. ;D
Smart kid.  Why risk injury on a meaningless scrimmage when the season kicks off next week?  Way to stay healthy, kid.  We'll be leaning on you this year.
