Predicting scrimmages? NO ONE WINS OR LOSES SCRIMMAGES!!!!!!!
+1
Ditto.
 6. The horrible sports coverage (mainly Beaumont teams) from the  Beaumont Suprise is  one of the main reason I signed up on this website many years ago.
Nope, but being honest. When you talk about tough districts, someone has to give facts ;D Speaking of Central, I was talking to buddy of mine the othr day when we (WB) made a goal line stand inside the 5 yard line of the 1991 Beaumont Bowl at LU to beat them Jags ;D 8)
LMAO!! Wasnt that Leeland's JR year? i think KFDM aired that game if my memory is correct.
He was senior. It was the 91 season, but we graduted in 92. Heck of a game, but our defense stepped up and pulled it out. 21-17 to finish our regular season at 10-0. We got cocky in the playoffs and got beat by Aldine MacArthur. Sure thought we were going to bring that trophy home. It was televised and about 20k folks there. Back when only two schools in Beaumont. Oh the memories.
I for one am glad we are away from the "only two schools" and more playoff teams in the area.
I agree with you. It's a shame they couldn't open one more HS and have four 4A schools. It would keep everything local and in my opinion more bragging rights locally. Just my opinion though.
well there is always that "every year" rumor about BISD opening up another HS. Maybe they will actually build one and name it after Butch.  ;D
Ohh lawd.  Please, no!  :-X

 9.
The Dogs are STILL the team to beat in 20-4A. Scrimmages are meant to work out kinks, prepare your team and your back ups.
Chuuch!
 10. No, why you gotta bring up the past like that?  ;D

 12.

not to mention that if BH was in a real district then they wouldnt even be in the playoffs.
I think the new 19-4a will be a tough one. Kingwood Park, Summer Creek, Dayton, Crosby, BH will battle for four spots. Humble has the athletes, Porter is a newer school, CE King has a new leader, and New Caney could sneak up on someone. It's not that easy of a district. I've watched 20-4a for many years. They make it sound tougher then what it really is. I watched hen Dayton, who is in 19-4A played in 20-4a and they absolutley destroyed everybody besides a fluke win by a one year wonder Lumberton team. BTW, didn't BH beat the 20-4a district champ last year?
Not only did you "Trade-Up" you can fire a shot over their bow better than most....... ;D ;D  It's what we have been saying for years..........BH has not had a dominate team since we got throttled by a dang good sweeny team in the 90's. Yet we still take their best opponent year after year down to the wire.  Central nearly lost to us with their D-1 QB, PNG took all they had twice to barely beat us, and yes we did take out their district champ last year, as well as Dayton (which you mentioned owned 20-4A).  So, I agree with your over-rated assessment of 20-4A.  Welcome to the light my SON, come on in....... ;D
That year, we wern't district champs.  yall were.  And better, y'all were undefeated.  What happened?

I look for both Barbers Hill and Central to have their way with the Horns.
I hear you, but I hope your wrong. I know HF can play better than they did so that is why I think they will bounce back and hopefully with a chip on their shoulder.
I recall a time when HJ and HF had strong teams.  Central, well not so much.  ;) ;)
BH had 'strong teams' playing against weak 2a and 3a teams.  When moved up to 4a, it's first round exits galore.  8)
Man, when the fish are biting we go fishing.......not our fault.  ;D  By the way, how did Central do last year in the playoffs?  ;)
What happened the last time BH and Central played?  8)
Maybe they are catering to the people that actually buying the papers.
If that's the case, then go the whole 9 yards and change the name if that's where their revenue is comming from.  Most Beaumont people could realy care less.  Most of the stuff in the suprise isn't worth reading sportswise.
 22. I see it now.  We play @ the ant mound.  Interesting.  Our first 3 opponents run a spread offense and if I'm not mistaken, BH runs one of those run orientated offenses.  Maybe we were looking at the bigger picture since we have Vidor and Livingston in our district that are similar to them.  I don't know.  I still look for us to have a great showing.  Our defense will be a lot better than last year judging from the spring game and we have way more playmakers on offense this year than last.  I hope we have a successful warm up before kicking off the season.  8)
 23. I thought this scrimmage was IN H-F.

 25.
I think he will still play. I heard he was a bit burned out. He attended the Duke basketball camp this summer, and I was told he played really well. Definitely a huge asset to the team, as he was the only kid to register on the dunk-o-meter last season and by far has the best MRJS on the team. Both qualities that Soulja hold close to his heart.  8) We definitely need his athleticism on the court.
Ok, so the dunk o meter returns....  Interesting...  I must admit.  I'm VERY interested to see the Nederland kid with the SMRJ.  8)
