It's a Mexican team if I'm not mistaken, BD.
It's a Mexican team? Whatever gave you that idea? ;)
I mean, the name may be a dead give away, but I believe this question arose last year.  I think it's actually located IN Mexico if my memory serves me correct.

They always had the speed and athletes and talent but there coaching decisions lacked some, what do you call it, knowledge. But last year they blew everyone's mind with how good they got and how far they went into  the season. I look for them to blow some minds this year as well but to lose some close ones and make fourth place.
2 thumbs up for this post!  8)

 10.
Ozen would be smart to work on the 10 yd and under passes. Mostly quick passes, slants, screens etc. Than bust a long one. You want to get it in the athletes hands and let the speedster perform. I would welcome any team that loaded the box to stop the run.  Cause your gonna get burnt on a quick pass.
The key to that would be blocking.  You need a good blocking scheme from the recievers but more importantly, the o-linemen.  I don't know if Ozen will have a young or seasoned o-line or not.  Maybe someone has this information.
 11.
With all due respect what year has Ozen not had the best atheletes in district???????
They're normally #2 behind Central.
 12. It all hinges on if they can prove they can consistantly pass the ball.  They'll have a recieving corps, but can the QB get it out of there.  You don't want teams loading the box to stop Jones and not respecting the passing game.
KMSL...man Soulja you made a funny. Y'all better bring a lil more than Mitchell.
2 Mitchells.  Robert (offense) Garrison (Defense). We'll give it a go.  8)
 14. Untill proven otherwise, Ozen has the best athletes by far in this district returning (Tony Brown to name one) and the best RB (explosive great vision) in the district.  If the Ozen kid is even medeocre at best, Ozen will be a handfull for anyone.  They also have some good returners with good playoff experience from last year.
 15. That comment really lacked taste and was uncalled for.
 16. Ozen will be fine.  8)
Ever make the playoffs again?  We miss one year after consistant playoff appearences/runs and it's 'make the playoffs again'.  Let Goose Creek get some sort of history and consistance (Baytown for that matter).  BTW, you need to be careful what you ask for.

Most of those teams are in and go a couple of rounds deep regularly.
You shouldn't rank teams out of how many rounds deep they have went recently or over time. You should rank teams over how good the team is. Hell Central has great consistency of making the playoffs and we see how that did them last year.  ::)
Don't remind me, please.  :-X

 21.
High School football (or any other high school sport or activity) is not like a professional sport in that they can hire the players according to their strengths and make them fit their particular plan of attack.  In high school sports, one must work with the players who show up wanting to be a part of the team.  Types of offense, defense and every other part of the game are based on those players.  A coach can't decide to run X type of offense, just for grins and giggles.  He has zero chance of success that way.  Just because Lumberton has been struggling doesn't mean Credeur is a poor coach making poor decisions. Lumberton has mostly struggled, history being what it is.  I think a huge part of the answer is the lack of tradition building in Lumberton.  At PNG, indoctrination into the tribe begins early.  Kindergartners don't change their color when they've talked in class.  They move their feather!  We have no traditions in Lumberton.  Honestly, having kids in high school now, I can tell you that part of the problem is that the school has become too rigid in what is allowed and what isn't.  School in Lumberton has no fun, no joy.  There's no pride because it's not allowed to be celebrated.  The student body doesn't have the heart, because it was never given to them and is not encouraged in any way, shape or form.  I couldn't wait to get my kids out of BISD when they were little and into Lumberton, but I have been highly disappointed.  Apathy in our schools runs rampant, both in the student body and in the faculty.  It's sad.
Maybe that's the problem.  They would have been winning at West Brook.
