1. Come on, guys.  let it go.  Have a couple of marshmellows with DV around a campfire.  He was only pulling yall's chain.
 2.
Dance puppets dance!! Mwahahahahahahaha  >:D
What does THAT mean?
 3.
Why was the central player ejected, I seen on the news he threw the ball but was there something else??
My understanding is that both T's were chicken crap calls.  the first one was after a foul.  Kristain was walking to the free throw line and turned around fast and he and a Kingwood Park players almost ran into each other.  The did the routine brush to the side so that Kris can get to the line and the KP player can line up in the paint.  there were no words, but both players were given a double tech.  The second tech was for throwing the ball after a call.  There was no ref there to throw the ball to, so kris threw the ball at the sidelines, I guess, for the insuing inbound.  Ref T'ed him up.

However, I can not except quitting on the team, it was obvious that is what happened tonight.  Playing a player significant minutes that had not played since the YMBL. Stating your best big for the a great deal of minutes including the entire third quarter. Going small after Christian was ejected, getting out rebounded 11-1 on that call going from 8 down to 18 down purely on rebounds. If u quit u should resign, I know he has to feed his family but that was piss poor. quitting on the kids is un acceptable. I lost ALL respect for Lee tonight. The kp coach did one heck of a job, no true talent but they do exactly what he says and it works, great job kp.
So you are saying that in the last few games of the regular season and the first couple of games in the playoffs, you had no quarrel/complaint with the coach but as soon as he loses, you lose all respect?
I think it has to do with the talent.  The talent carried us to the 3rd round.  I've always had questions about coaching all year with the exeption of a few games.  I wasn't at the game vs. Kingwood Park, but I stayed in touch via Text message with ABSENT.  I've sat with him in several Central games for about 5 years, and I trust his game analysis.
The further forward you move in the playoff, the greater the talent level that you will likely be facing.  I realize that we talk a lot on this board about Centrals talent and rightfully so.  But in each successive game, I think it is highly likely that a team will encounter someone with equal or greater talent.  I didnt see the game either(but I did watch KP play against HJ at the HJ tourney), but another possible explanation is that you ran into a team that had more talent than you did and more experience in the form of upper classmen.
That could be the case.  It's possible.

 6. It's like the knock on the door.  You'll keep knocking untill 'they' let you in.
 7.
Wait....is that crickets I am hearing this morning? It's awfully quiet on  THIS particular thread now that order has been somewhat restored in District 20-4A... ::)
Here you go.  ;D ;D
 8. I failed to mention... Congratulation on the great run, Jags.  Yes, there will be several young guns returning.  I'm looking forward to the same thing if not better next year!
Um, but Ozen, if I'm not mistaken is sitting pretty in the 4th round of the playoffs, right? And seeing the Ozen game plan, Looks like their staff did pretty good again vs. Nederland's staff.
The Ozen staff almost blew it for the Ozen kids last night too....kids defended and played hard, but were put in a HORRIBLE position by their coach last night in the 2nd quarter...that game should have been a blow out....The Ozen "staff" you are referring to kept it close.
Well, the Ozen staff DIDN'T blow it because they won.  Now, the Central staff, on the other hand....  :-X :-X
 10. Come on I remember when I played Nederland wasn't even supposed to be in the same gym with us. To be honest only reason Ozen's still in the playoffs is because they finished third in their district and got an easy side of the bracket. It's no excuse for Ozen to be finishing 3rd in a weak district is inexcusable GET SAVEAT OUTTA THERE PLAIN AND SIMPLE. But on another note congrats fellows.
Go get Joubert
I see now what you are talking about now, Tebowing.  Although he is an Ozen fan and a fellow Beaumont guy, he has little or no credibility in the basketball or football forum for past comments that he's made.  So, some of his comments are overlooked by me.  with that being said.... Congratulations, Ozen.  Keep it going.  Way to represent in the regional tourney!  Keep executing late in the game, Ozen.  I liked what I saw last night!  Great run, Big Ned!
 11.
Go to the Ozen thread and you will see why i mentioned them
Ok.  I havn't been to that thread this morning.  I'll check.
 12. I agree with everything ABSENT said.  I try really hard not to throw the Central Staff under the bus, but it's downright painful to watch at times.  There are many ways to make it still work without Smith in the game.  There are other good players that YOU as a coach need to put in the best possitions to do damage.  There is NO reason the 6'5" freshmen is out of the game the entire 3rd period when he was clearly doing damage when he waen tou There is NO reason you bring #12 in.  Even though he's a senior, he's a bench player.  You don't do that if you want to win.  then on top of that, you finally get off your butt when the players mounted a mini comback at the end and start 'coaching'?  Unbelievable.  Maybe it was a good thing that I didn't go.  I can tell it was bad.  ABSENT is an easy going dude that normally have a great assessment of the game (good or bad).  When he calls me and used 'prefered' words for this about 80% of the call, I pretty much assumed how this went, and honesly, it does not suprise me one bit.  I don't know if you want to say it is good or bad, but by Central making it to the 3rd round, that pretty much guarantees that someone will be back next year.  Ohh well, I'm done with that.  GO OZEN!

 14. Ozen should have kept the foot on their throat and put them away.  Now, they've allowed them to get back in this.  I hope it don't come back to bite them.
 15. I like the way they don't give Central credit for the defense that was played on Nederland forcing them to miss all of those shots. So again, it was what Nederland didn't do and not what Central did.  Go figure from the Port Arthur Snooze.
 16. Yall are trying hard to get ol' DV out of hibernation.
 17.
Why can't you gentlemen be positive about Central???  What in the heck does it matter is the coach stands or sits?  I have never heard an announcer comment about a team losing because the coach sat, stood or even jumped rope.  Central needs support, and you, the Central fans (yes, Soulja - you) should be supporting them, not ripping them down.
I support them.  My Jaguar support should not be questioned.  It's just that when you have the pieces of the puzzle in place and will be for quite a few years, we expect more.  There have been  games that we have lost (almost all of our losses) because no timouts were called, no adjustments were made or wierd adjustments were made even thought what we were doing before was working.  I'm been to almost every Central game this year, so I believe I have a handle of this Jag team.  Now, we're in the 3rd round, which is the farthest that we've been since (I believe) the 2002-2003 team, and I'm happy for that.  We just need our staff to come up with some things to win these games and not almost give it away as we did in  both the game against C.E. King and Brenham.
 18.
It will be a LONG DRIVE HOME for one of these teams  ;D
Not really.  Ozen HS. is about 7 or 8 minutes from LU.  Nederland HS is about 10 minutes away from LU.  The drive will be short.  ;D ;D
If a freshman gets to the free throw line with 6 seconds left in the game and trailing by two, I bet he will quickly understand the pressure of a big game if he did not understand it before.
We've had a freshmen in the last game come in with less than a minute in the game vs. Brenham that knocked down key free throws when they went to Hack-a-Jag.
