1. There were a total of 3 dunks.  One a breakaway and 2 ON a Lumberton player.  He posted the breakaway dunk.  8) 8) Let the dunkometer live on, DV!! ;)
 2.
First off, yes its just two points, calm down....second its against LUMBERTON...you get NO points for that...third its an uncontested breakaway...again, ho-hum yawn....KILL THE DANG DUNK-O-METER!!! 8)
There were 2 of them that were in the face of a player that tried tp defend it.  I hope those can be posted.  ;D
Yes, Nederland does have more to play for.  Central beats PN-G.  If Big Ned has another stumble, Central wins district outright. It would be bad for nederland as they back into the playoffs and have to face a good CE King team instead of on of those not so good teams.
Soulja..come on man..Central JV can beat PNG! LCM COULD stun Nederland at home, but I doubt that happens...they are not that good either, but Nederland is definitely better than LCM.  If they beat Nederland, it would not surprise me, but once again, I doubt that happens....Coach E will have those kids ready to play.
I know the Bears have not shown much against the top half of the district, but they did give big Ned a struggle last time.  If they did battle with them or even sneak one off, it really wouldnt suprise me.

There were a lot of smiling and hapiness due to this being the last home game for the seniors. BTW, Dunk count 3-0 Central Are of the dunkks were directly over the head of a Raider player that tried to block it.  Smh.  Can you say posterized?
Sorry Soulja, I believe HJ's dunk count exceeded Centrals.
Really?
Here you go Soulja - I know you will know what to do with this. Congrats on the win - good luck in the playoffs.  Should have all photos posted this weekend sometime. #20 can get up and stay up [img][Hidden Content]]
Heck yes i know what to do with it!  This should be the advertisement picture on the dunkometer. Stevenash, thoughts?
 5. Good analysis, DV.  One a side note, 'refs were RACIST?' WOW,thats a first Iv'e heard that one. :o

I knew Nederland would have heck on their 2 trips to Beaumont, but i realistically thought they would lose once here. Great job, Ozen.  Now, we have a 2 way tie for first with nederland facing yet another tough game with the Bears.
Here are your details Soulja ,from a famous football coach I am sure we all know,"THEY ARE  WHO WE THOUGHT THEY WERE "
Ohh myyy!  :o  :o

 11. Wow!  I wasn't expecting this one. I expected these 2 trips to beaumont to be tough but geeez!  Was Nederland's Coach outcoached again or were the 3 ball not falling?  Or was it that Ozen brought it?

 13.
They should go by FT percentage....but thats not an option is it? But in this case I don't think it makes any sense (other than the immense entertainment value) for them to play each other, they've both shown they can go toe to toe, let 'em settle the on court issue later on.
Yes, But that's the point.  In both Nederland/Central's case and H-J/Silsbee's case, this would be good.  Both teams benefit.  H-J and Silsbee had 2 close games.  Central and Nederland had 1 close non district game and the 2 district games were blowouts for each team, which means that these teams are more evenly matched than some would think.  Let them play.  They're kids (very durable).  The chances of injury in Basketball is there, no doubt, but generally speaking, Basket ball is not as physical of a sport like other sports, IMO.  I would love for these matchups to happen. But If they chose the flipping option, I would not have a problem with that.
 14.
Sheez! God willing, I will go to my kid's Livingston game next year, and not be so selfish about burning my expensive repub  induced gas gauging tax fuel increases, based on a 32 minute game while driving 2 hours and I will not let people like BMTSOULJA influence me from seeing my children's game. :(
;D ;D
 15.
Dogs, I understand your point about playing more tough district games, because it does make a difference.  I'm an SEC football fan, and it's a meat grinder throughout the conference.  I still say that this year HJ and Silsbee are better than anything 20-4A has to offer and would have ended up 1 & 2, but we'll never know for sure. Also, HJ does have some "studs". Prudhomme would be the MVP of the district, and Johnson and Bosha would start at most 20-4A teams.  Several others would play significant minutes at those schools too. Silsbee has Gaines, Elam, & Holmes that I think would start at most of those schools also. It's all just opinion, but it makes for interesting conversation...
Ok, settle down.  ::)
 16. What if the Bench player IS a senior and have been playing on the team the entire year (not a football kid)?
 17.

This happens every where.  Being the mother of a cheerleader I can't make every game she cheers at since I have a much younger child who has to be in bed by 8.  I also have a husband who works late most nights so he isn't here to watch the younger child.  But I do try to make as many games as I can but sometimes I can't be there and I hate it.
That's understandable. I just happen to be in the situation where this son is my youngest one so I have nothing to keep me from going. I can't comprehend how there are some parents that don't show up until it's senior night, if they show up then. My son also plays AAU during the summer, we had a kid that had been on the team for years and his mother showed up for a meeting and the coach had to ask who she was. I know there are circumstances that prevent attending every game but at least make it to a couple.
There is one Ozen player that has a huge family, but they refuse to show up because he's a bench player and havn't gotten in any games.  Just to think, if this kid at least comes in the game sometimes, his family will be there in full force.
 18.
This certainly doesn't apply to the Ozen today....it's sad that there are maybe 50 people in attendance until they play Central. I can't seem to understand why there isn't at least 1 person from the family there for each child participating including the cheerleaders. As unhappy as I am with the way things are going, I can't see not supporting my child (hurry up June 2013).
It was the oposite effect durring the boutte days.  Ozen would come to a gym near you.  You KNEW they would win and it would be ugly.  Not as many people would show up due to the lopsided victories, unless it's playoff games or vs. Central.
 19. It's Griffin that we're talking about.  THROW IT DOWN, BIG FELLA! (in my Bill Walton voice)  ;D
 20. It wasn't even a blasted dunk.  He didn't touch the rim.  he threw it down, therefore, it's NOT 'Billboard' worthy.
 21.
I am taking the Dogs!!!!!
Of course.. As expected.
 22.
That pre-district schedule sucks!  LCM and Lumberton......REALLY?  What the heck does that do for you?  Geeze!!!!!! Why not just play Central?  Let's really play a bad team if that's all we can get.  :o :o
::) ::) ::) ::)
 23. It actually is the coaching.  That 2007 Ozen squad had mediocre talent on it, but they still marched to state.  THAT made a believer out of me.
